Hoodster!
I had to laugh over your bed head and makeup comment during your Zoom meeting! It's hilarious to see what some people wear and look like in these Zoom meetings. I about fell out of my chair on one of them, when a meeting member forgot he was only in his boxers and they were cute, lol! When he realized it, after standing up, I swear he must've just fallen down in embarrassment. He just disappeared straight down and his feed went blank, lol. Too funny! By now everyone is getting better accustomed to it and seem to be fairing pretty well with it. That doesn't do much for all those high rise buildings without tenants though. Strange times indeed...
My grand babies aren't babies anymore. My grand daughter is 6 and in virtual first grade, which breaks my heart. First grade should be spent with other first graders. I watch her and she doesn't have much interest in it. They are in the Seattle area and nobody in her district is in school. Her school mates are either sleeping, playing or screwing around with their keyboards and it disrupts the entire class. This is an educational mess and I hope they figure it out soon. They are still teaching Common Core math in Washington, too. They want the parents to help with their education, but who from the last couple of generations can make heads or tails out of that? But I digress. My grand son is almost 4 and is hell on wheels, literally. He enjoys running into things with his face! Typical 4 year old boy stuff, lol. They're all healthy and happy though and that's what matters.
I know your CEO position is just waiting for you to show them who's Boss! I know you'll achieve it, when and if you want it. Take care and please stay in touch! xo

Hola tiggerino!
Ive been defying the advice to stay indoors. Ive skipped a few days but I have a new fitness program that combines low carb eating with high intensity training. I have 3 different weight vests of varying weight: 4lbs, 8lbs, and 16lbs. I wear a weighted vest and hike up some nice big hills to get my muscles activated. I only do about 20-30 mins per session, but yesterday I met up with a friend and did a 75 minute weighted walk around Lake Merritt in Oakland. I feel like frickin Wonder Woman today! But I will admittedly need a nap around noon. Had an 8am zoom meeting this morning no makeup and bed head keeps the ego in check. Even with the touch up my appearance feature in zoom I am beginning to look every bit of my 53 years old. But I have wonderful coworkers my age, older, and much younger too. We cut each other a lot of slack. They dont know of my CEO aspirations yet Tig and Im not sure how to break it to them (kidding, kidding).
Whats new with all of you? how are the grandkids? Hows life?

I’m so happy to hear from you! I knew you were out there somewhere The entire West Coast is so dangerous right now. From San Diego to British Columbia, nothing but smoke. Stay inside, or take a vacation to somewhere with fresh air! It’s so unhealthy and wearing masks doesn’t provide much relief, if any. Just be safe!
So, whatcha been doing since we last chatted? Are you the CEO yet?

Hey Hoodie,

A lovely UND for our lovely Hoodie! Congrats on your SVR12.
That was a pretty quick return of your lab results eh? You only had that draw done about a week ago? So, how does that UND feel? Did you get any other labs with that? When was the last time and next time you see the doc?
So nice you have this SVR12 under your belt now, we are waiting for some other folks results pretty soon as well - the good news we all appreciate sharing.
Thanks for your prior update as well, good to figure out you had not had to move far away for the new work, but commuting certainly can add an element your workload. I am hoping you will find a new sleep hour quota settling in over the next months since your cure - my sleep requirements changed (amount of sleep required lessened) slowly after I completed treatment and was cured. Maybe this will happen with you too (some less sleep required). Glad to here you are still doing yoga - me too - movement is our friend!
So glad for your SVR12, you so deserve to be "officially" free of this virus. Congrats, bigtime. The light in me salutes the light in you my dear! C.

Mom still sleeping 10 hours a night when I can get it. Often around 8-9 hours will do.

Hi Hoodie, hope you are well for the New Year! Canuck was right the first two months I was on Epclusa I was never so tired in my life.
I was one of the patients who had to feel much worse before I could feel better ... it even concerned my doc as he said my reaction to Epclusa was definitely an edge case but he said just tough it out as my viral load crashed dramatically and labs were normal. Now I have plenty of energy, and feel better than I have in ten years, well except for the arthritis and the bum knee but one grows old.

Hoodie,
How's the new job going?? Did you have to do a major "re-location" (to another city) for this job? Just wondering. That was my impression but i could be wrong, it seemed like you did not have a lot of time for a big pick up and move.
My other curiosity is how much fatigue you still have. I know you were like me (and lammasu) in experiencing some profound fatigue, and big needs for many hours of sleep per day. But I have been gleaning this fatigue has lessened for you now after EOT? and that you are requiring less hours of sleep? - maybe you already said this elsewhere on another thread but i cannot recall exactly what you have said on this subject. I recall the intensity of lamassu's fatigue was more related to being severe "while ON-treatment", whereas mine was profound for quite a while before treatment and of course continued just as profound or thicker while on-treatment, and then was slow to improve for me post-treatment - I am just wondering how the fatigue and sleeping has morphed/evolved for you. Then the instructor arrived and announced that she didnt have the key to the church where we do yoga So I had to drive about 5 miles to the nearest bathroom. It was quite an adventure! I was so nervous I might pee my pants! That put the P in PTSD, lemme tell ya!

Hoodie, I slacked off the water too. I was way down the last month of treatment, and now I'm back to my normal, several cups of coffee, and maybe two glasses in the day, a beverage with dinner, and that's about it. I try no to drink before bed but that's when I like some herbal tea. And a short glass of water to take vitamins with. I do sometimes go on a juice binge, but that's a lot of sugar. Seems processing sugar and fats had become an issue, but maybe that will be in the past now?
I really hate having to find a restroom all the time what can I say, sometimes a bush just isn't near
You're doing great, If you used to jog then ease yourself back into it, (after the smoke clears) ...hey, we should be getting our "good news" right about the same time in January...hang in there

Hi Hoodie,
For me the heavy fatigue ended like magic after week 10 on Epclusa. Seems like it was overnight. Now my stamina was lousy because I had gotten little exercise for over 2 months but 6 months after end of treatment now I am feeling pretty good, and walk every day as much as my bad right knee can handle. Probably will get the knee replaced next year as I have had enough medical treatment for one year:) I still drink at least a half gallon of water a day. May not be medically necessary any longer but I feel better when I stay well hydrated. Just waiting on the 24 week viral load results from the test done last week. Everyone's journey is different I have no doubt any lingering fatigue you have will pass. Take good care of yourself!

Polo - Many thanks birthday girl
Shemp - Thanks Champ!
Cheddy - Fatigue is still an issue, along with anxiety/PTSD. My stress tolerance has been notoriously low for the past few decades. It is my fervent hope that my stress tolerance will improve. I think I see signs of that but of course my head messes with me and tells me Im crazy. Im just going to continue getting the right amount of sleep, proper nutrition, and especially yoga/meditation.
Everyone - I have totally slacked off on the gallon a day thing! So today I have renewed my practice of keeping track of my water intake to try to reach at least half a gallon if not more every day. What do you guys do? Do you still drink a gallon of water a day after treatment ends? Do you still track your water intake? Im going to try to get in a full gallon a day again until my January blood work for SVR12.
As usual, thank you so much for your care and concern

So, what the heck happened to our buddy, Hoodie? I’m feeling a little sad about her disappearance! Now, I’ll feel much better if you check in, Hoodster! You should be the CEO by now, tell them you need to check in with the Board, the Hep C Board of Directors! We miss you...

Hoodster,
I missed your P update, lol! That could’ve been a soggy situation. I would’ve been looking for a bush or an alley, just in case. I hope everything is going well
Hoodie,
How's the new job going??
OMG Iris, I went to yoga yesterday and the instructor was late so we couldnt get into the building, I had to pee so bad! It was such a terrible emergency! Then the instructor arrived and announced that she didnt have the key to the church where we do yoga
So I had to drive about 5 miles to the nearest bathroom.
I really hate having to find a restroom all the time
what can I say, sometimes a bush just isn't near
You're doing great, If you used to jog then ease yourself back into it, (after the smoke clears) ...hey, we should be getting our "good news" right about the same time in January...hang in there
bb, Iris
Lamassu thats great! I might try getting back to 20-30 minute morning jogs during my break between jobs. I used to love jogging! maybe thats what my body needs - vigorous exercise.
Hi Hoodie,
For me the heavy fatigue ended like magic after week 10 on Epclusa.
Thanks 5!
Hows your energy? Is it better on the days when you drink more water? Refresh my memory, did you have horrible fatigue like me? Hope youre feeling much better now in EOT UND-land
my first 2 months eot i drank more, now it's about 1.5 liter plus watery coffee.
i drink more on my days off i think.
