Going to have to go back in. Will call tomorrow. I‘m needing an XRay and some stronger AB’s. Finished the prednisone a couple days ago and the bronchial spasms are back in force. Still 3 days of AB’s, but it’s Doxycycline. I think the Dragon‘s pet, Hack, laughed it off. Hack doesn’t have the best sense of humor!
I’m keeping my eye on progress, but please forgive my lack of involvement. I know you are all in each other’s capable care. Thanks to Cheddy for running the ship! Fine job

as long as you are managing them with out throwing up or diahrea there is no problem. your immune system will also kick in stronger now than before tx.
you are on the best path for wellness harry

It's VERY good you got the antibiotics Harry, it really does not matter that you are only freshly finished treatment, and are now having to take a round of antibiotics, it will not hinder your hepc cure. It's just too bad you had to have a chest bad enough to warrant the antibiotics. The antibiotics are a good and necessary thing, your doc would not have given them to you if it was not justified/needed. The antibiotics should be helping you to attain a generally increased healthier state (by killing off this chest infection) - NOT having a chest infection is a VERY good thing, and better for your recovery from the hepc therapy. I am glad your chest is feeling a wee bit better. Hopefully we will trounce that nasty chest infection easily, you will keep recouping and recovering from your hepc therapy, and get healthier and healthier. Some of us have experienced these very unfortunate flu's, colds, infections, and other maladies post tx, but fingers crossed, you will just keep getting better from this bad chest and get to feeling better and better as time goes on.
Keep drinking lots of water, and treating yourself very well. A little fresh air, some good food, TLC.
How's the heat?
How are those ankles now that you are on those water pills?
Did you ever tell us what GT you were? C.

Okay, since this is our new section to voice personal OTHCV illness, let me be first to say, this crap of mine ain’t getting any better. If I don’t see marked improvement by Friday, they’re bringing me back in for more tests and different AB’s. This is a harsh form of whatever it is. I bought a pulse oximeter to watch my oxygen level and I can’t get it above 90. The bronchospasms are so frequent, even the codeine syrup is ineffective. Tonight will be day 3 on the AB, so maybe it’s just taking a little longer. Let’s hope anyway!
Hopefully you’re not in a perpetual blooming season where you are, 5. I ended up in the hospital for weeks once with a severe reaction to pine pollen. I lived in the CA Bay Area and my apartment was nestled in a clump of tall pines. They about killed me! Haven’t had trouble like that again, thank God! Good luck beating that next round of sinus challenges...

Hi Gang,
I thought I would start a new thread for health updates. We have a lot of posts here about flu, bronchitis, and other ailments that plague us. How lovely to have the care we feel for one another. I truly appreciate the support and suggestions.
But, I can't tell the topics from the treatment titles anymore.
Just a suggestion. If you have another preference, go with it.
