Mine is after a Character name (Alaise) I came up with some years ago( abt 1998) for a story I've been sporatically writing for years; the Lady has to do with the characters title; I ended up Googling the name Alaise a few years ago after writing this story for some years, just for kicks lol little did I know there is an actual place in France named Alaise, and possibly (minus the E in the spelling) connected to Lady Alais (something like that) somewhere in France, she lived with King Henry II & Queen Eleanor (D'Aquitaine)of England for nearly 30 years; she was betrothed to Richard the Lionheart (which that union never occured), and has been rumored to possibly been a mistress of Henry the II....Oddly enough Henry II & Eleanor D'Aquitaine are my 22nd Great Grandparents lol just googled it Again lol and found this; http://www.jiroolcott.com/alaise.html

Mine is an old nickname from high school. My neighborhood buddies called me News, after News Carver in The Hole in the Wall Gang (Butch Cassidy and others). News was the one who could read, and he got the name from reading the newspaper to the rest of the gang, who were interested in the rewards on their heads, who was tracking them, etc. Since I was the only one working hard in school, they pinned that name on me.
