I also am starting my fifth week of the Abbott Meds , I'm getting a little Ribavirin fatigue.

OK so here is week 9 and I get a headache every now and then.... I have three weeks and four days left till I find out what arm I am on. I'm like a kid waiting. Either way I will be fine. If I have to go on another 12 weeks on the real drugs then so be it...I just want this dragon gone forever.

In Matt,
My trial coordinator took me off all herbals. The only thing they allowed me to take was a multi vitamen & some prescription meds I was previously on. But even before she would allow that she had to run it by the ABBOTT folks. I would discuss your plans with yours before starting some of this stuff.

i would like to add athat they told me to stop the herbs when I first was in contact with them about the trials. She said they preferred that I stop 30 days before beginning if at all possible O/T just got off the interstate in route to have my 4 weeks labs drawn this morning......

This is interesting. My coordinator asked me what kind of stuff I was taking. Fortunately I don't have to take any medications on a regular basis. But I do take 8 different vitamins every day, fish oil, baby aspirin and the like. They made note of that but did not ask me to cease taking them. She only mentioned that alot of people stop taking their vitamins because it adds to the total daily pills.
I'll have to ask about it when I see them tomorrow.

Matt,
I don't find out anything till April 5th. My billirbuin scores were always low (on the low end of a normal range) However when I was taking my blood pressure and diabetes meds my bil went up a tad...but still within normal range. I am off of the bp meds and am only taking my study meds and diabetes and a birth control pill. So come April 5th it will be interesting to look over all of my stats.

Thanks Iris.
I'm in week 6 and so far so good. Come on April 5th...thats when I find out of I am on placebo or the real stuff. I feel great....I mean besides the no energy thing....but I had that before I started trial. It seems like I have to push myself to do everything. If I am on the real these drugs are pretty easy on me as far as SE. I'm keeping my paws crossed. Thanks for the support everyone.
