Sorry to read about your shoulder pain with Sovaldi, just curious did you ever have issues with that part of your body before treatment?

I am experiencing chronic pain in my lower back which I had previous issues with.

Hi Liam,

I've been taking pain meds for over a decade for a spinal injury and problems related to multiple surgeries. I didn't take Sovaldi during Tx, so I can only comment on the literature that accompanies it. I took Methadone during treatment, which is an opioid class medication. It was okay to take without dose reduction, but it's also unlikely that you would be prescribed Methadone for temporary pain. The Sovaldi literature has no warnings for avoiding anything opioid specific, so there are multiple drugs that would be safe to take during Tx without fear of it interfering with your Tx. The best advice I can give you is to discuss it with your doctor and the pharmacist assigned to your case. They are always the experts to discuss these specific concerns with. i am on week 10 of 24 riba/solvaldi,

i have a lot of shoulder pain that has got worse since I started treatment and it is really effecting my sleeping. The doc has said its ok to take panadol but I need something stronger, the lack of sleep is getting to me.i am going  to see him in 2 days but has been reluctant to prescribe anything and normally I would not take anything. Has anyone heard of any drug that is compatible with rib/sol
