Hey TK,
When in doubt, regroup!
This is a waaay better version of a war cry than the one I've been using.
Why is it we can't be objective with ourselves! Physicians should not treat themselves. Your VL ABSOLUTELY CRASHED AT ONE WEEK, (and likely crashed within a few days, so I have read from vel studies), but your crashed VL was only shown/known to you at your ONE week result! THEN, next, your VL was ABSOLUTELY DEAD ATONLY 4 WEEKS! - (not even halfway through your course!), and you were probably undetected even earlier than that!WE all know where this is going (even you)! Delays and lack of info is a cruel anxiety provoking thing, when you are the one in the disadvantaged/vulnerable position. Delay is a undermining event that allows doubt and fear to try to creep back into your mind. I do the same as you, and it often takes others to help you get things sorted, put in order and into perspective. My delay between January 21 (trial intake assessement) Feb 11 (trial bloodwork) and then finally March 10 (DAY ONE) seemed interminable, and created me much angst and fretting that they must have found "something" that excluded me!! All my worry wasted. And worry can't be helped much. Some worry, or a lot, will be a given, we can see how everyone seems to go through this, if it is not one thing, it is another, until ... one day ... it all stops - Nirvana! You will soon get relief. Maybe just a few more sleeps! From the troops in the trenches, we got your back, relief is on the way! - from a fellow velpa warrior. C.

Hey Rich,
All good advice, do your best to stay positive. You've done great all the way through. As the end gets near, the anxiety always seems to rise. Doesn't matter how hard you try, the butterflies can sometimes get the best of you. Especially when you were expecting similar result times. When I expected something on Friday and had to wait til Tuesday, I'd get nervous and the gray cloud of doubt would start seeping in. Don't let it. You've got this all but finished, start polishing those shoes, you're going to want to look your best!! Good luck Brother, we'll be waiting with you!

Hi Rich, waiting is a drag. These clinical trials teach us all patience . Sometimes I would get the results of labs other than the v/l in two days, then wait 10 to 15 days for the v/l. Once I got the v/l results in 7 days. I asked about this and was told the labs run v/l test Twice a week in batches. They wait and run several load test at once? So the end of the week batch ran through the weekend. I don't get it but it made sense to me then. Try not to stress too much, I know it's easier said than done. Thanks for the update. RC

The last week has been a bit rough. As of today I still haven't gotten my vl results from the 8 week labs. Every other blood test I had all results within 5 days this time it's almost 2 weeks and they told me today the vl results are still not in. I have 15 more pills to take and am still hoping for the best, I just don't like the fact I'm not getting any answers out of them, after they been so good at quick responses over the last 2 months. Well I'm down to 3 weeks left, I had my 8 week labs last Wednesday. I called for the results yesterday and the viral load results were not in yet but my lft was in. I'm actually kinda nervous right now because at week 4 my alt and ast were both 17. At the 8 week test they went up to 31 and 32. I know that is still within normal range but they both almost doubled as of a week ago. I'm still waiting for the VL result, I'll get it tomorrow. As far as side effects I still haven't had any. This is the first time since I have been on treatment that I am a little worried, maybe it's nothing as I know ast/alt fluctuate regularly, but I can't help it since all my levels steadily dropped while on tx. If anyone has any info or experience with levels going up while on tx I'd love to hear it. I'll post vl as soon as I get it.

SVR-12 T-Shirt is on order.
Color preference? Size? Long sleeve, short sleeve?
Next Stop EOT. Please check your seats for any items that belong to you. Pass your newspapers and other recyclable items to the Conductor as he passes by. Check to make sure you have your phone. We are tired of having folks calling up and crying, ("can you check seat number 1A and see if I left my I-Phone?). We have a video of your boarding and we already know you had an out dated Blackberry so nice try. If you happened to be sweating heavily during the trip please advise your Conductor. Also in some cases we know folks may have over did the hydration thingy and, well if you need your seat cushion changed we appreciate ( and those who will board next definitely appreciate) your speaking up. Please be advised you are about to disembark in a totally new frame of mind and outlook. Regardless of what time a day your train pulls up to your destination, sunglasses are advised. No pushing, shoving, or other actions that may annoy others around you. It is possible that some disembarking may not have gotten to their final destination just yet and they possibly could be a bit less happy at this time as they head back to the ticket counter. Once you have disembarked you are free to go about your business. Thank you for choosing us as your transportation mode as we know you had other options yet chose us. The no smoking sign will not be turned off during the duration of the ride nor in the station. If you placed any buggers under the seat be advised, we filmed the entire trip via CCTV.
Hopeless idiot but happy! Go figure.

Hey Rich,
Great to see the LFT's down in that range, happy liver, happy enzymes! The detected/undetected explanation is simply, your lab has a LLOQ (Lower Limit of Quantification), it appears that your lab uses 15 IU/ml. When they test for viral load, the sensitivity of the equipment can test quantitatively down to 15 viral copies per milliliter. If there are still viral copies below 15, it will show <15 IU/ml "detected" (unquantifiable). So your test picked up a few stragglers. At week 2, that's an incredibly fast viral reduction (log reduction). I agree with Zlikster, week 4 will be undetected, you probably are already. Don't be the first bit concerned about these results, they are stellar and will only get better! Next test will be <15 undetected. I'll bet my farm on it!
Ok Brother. Time to change shirts again.
Same size and cut and since you seemed to like the color....

I'm sincerely hoping I can rock the svr shirt in 4 1/2 months. I bet if I ask Jimmy nice he will hook it up when the time comes!
I'm looking forward to the shirt that says SVR
Hey Tk,
Congrats on making it to the halfway point and beyond
----------> Onward -----------> (Magic Bullet Train) ----------> SVR
... nice Tee-Shirt Jimmy!
That's it! I can't take it no more!
Greetings TK.
My Brother you are doing so well I simply cannot let you run the streets with a V-Pak Shirt on. The Sof Vel is indeed the bomb and The Dragon is watching.
His Eye is in the middle and He knows He is surrounded and going down in a puff of smoke. (Smells like sulfur).
Lizard ain't nothing but the remnant of an egg fart now!
Your new shirt Brother!

Well I'm 6 weeks done already! Half way through and the ride is still smooth. The train has moved so quickly and I've been so busy I barley have the time to enjoy the ride. But on days like today where I am off of work and relaxed, have been catching up on everyone's threads, I'm so glad that more and more people are finding ways to get the meds they need. Be it by trial, generics, or the traditional route. The trains are pulling out all over the world, and picking lots of people up along the way! Keep fighting fellow dragon slayers fore a great victory lies ahead!
P.s. Velpatasvir is the bomb!!!
Mad love,
TK
WTG TK!!
Great news ... This really does appear to be the Magic Bullet Train!!
Very glad for ya ... wonderful news.
Dave

(One more sleep for me ... traveled to the big city, and moteling it tonight, for my big appointment tomorrow.) You made my day with your new news! Hope my doc makes my day tomorrow. Very happy for you. C
Hey,
Above post did not go through yesterday - so, trying to send it again today. My update (of today) is ... still don't know! Gotta wait 2 more weeks!! They treat me very kindly, JUST like I AM in the trial. Doc said "the next" appointment he will tell me whether I am going to get velporized like you. C
Way to go Rich. You are on a roll, rolling all over that dragon with a smooth riding steam roller. Keep up the good work!
I've told you, w4 100% UND :)
smooth ride indeed!

Good morning and excellent news. Great to read first thing. Onward to SVR.
Hey Rich,
WOOHOO!!! Dancing in my recliner right now, lol! Congrats buddy, you're on your way! So happy to hear the sfx are non existent and the drugs are so effective. You got on a great trial and I expect great things from it. Good job!
Good numbers Rich, They came down fast and that"s a good sign! No worries. You got this. RC
Good Morning Rich,
I have a feeling I will riding the same train so please save me a seat up towards the front by you. Try and make sure it is an isle seat as all this hydration stuff tends to keep me on my feet. LOL
By the way, if we get the chemical breakdown we may be able to change your shirt. (That was for the V-Pak and really did not fit me very well. LOL)
JimmyK
Hey Rich,
Great to see the LFT's down in that range, happy liver, happy enzymes!
