I hear ya, about "pushing it", Jaggles. Hopeful lady goes madly sweeping! One way (or another) you will get the extra rest, when you need it, either by pacing yourself or catching up. Feeling impatient to be well, to feel better, striving for it, can never be faulted, getting all excited and maybe overdoing things at the first hints of possible wellnesss, or at least with the knowledge you are now swallowing the best "back-up" EVER!, can lead one, so bolstered, to do a wee bit more than we can actually bite off and get away with. Slow and steady, boringly wins this race. I did not get these bursts of energy or feeling much better (like others have) when I was on treatment, but I really do think that that danged (but appreciated) VOX could have added another dimension to how I felt, everything was slowed to fudge speed for me, but I also felt kinda frenetic at times - how's that for a wierd mix!
So, you feeling faintish out mega-shopping, did not surprize me, nor to hear that you wisely parked yourself in bed for some neccessary TV rest, but .... may I make a small suggestion? .... try laying supine or horizonatal in bed, not vertical as you did, you will be better rested and recoup your energy faster, if you are not standing up in bed like that. hee hee hee whee! (sorry, I jes can't help teasin ya!)

Say no more! I understand completely!! About wanting to get gussied up. You slather as much of that tan stuff on as you darn well want to! (Now that you got it sussed out, and will test-run it). I too want you to look your best! It's a special time, a special day for you, your daughter, family and friends, and it WILL be special, with all those who know, love and appreciate you, JUST the way you are! C.

Rainy - yes, some people relapse but that is VERY few and far between on these new protocols. I am sure Tig and Canuck have stats to share. Do Not even think like that, keep the faith, positive thoughts etc. You got this girl!

Hi all. I got the days wrong when I posted on the other board, Ive completed 8 days on epclusa. No side effects. I was so worried about it. Doing the water like Tig and Canuck said. Felt a little tired today. The last few days I felt almost normal. Its funny, you forget what its like to feel normal until you start to feel normal again. Bloodwork scheduled for 4/28. Im guessing they'll do the whole panel like they did before treatment? I read something disturbing on another hepc forum. This lady was like hey dont let the doctors fool you. The virus goes away during treatment but I guess hers came back. I pray mine doesnt. Its been on my mind but Im trying to think positive because I know there must be a ton of folks with svr for years.

Thanks wendyo .....called the Hep nurse and they looked into it and said it was ok to use it.
( fake tan) although I will do a small patch first see how it goes. The Hep nurse here (NHS ) seem to oversee and administer all patients tests and treatment. I rarely see consultant, my next appointment with him is July 4th yayyyyy Independence Day.....feeling a little exhausted today but only day 3.... now resting up again.
the only reason I wanted to look a little extra nice is my daughter's wedding party. She is still in the States as they hitched up in Vegas and I couldnt go. Was way too ill. My illness has almost taken over all our conversation since diagnosis, along with them being tested too and getting all clear. it's been crappy the past 8 / 9 months and I kind of feel like I owe it to her to allow her wedding party ( 29th April) to be a day we can put it all behind us....i want to look my best.
i also know there will be quite a few guests probably want to be nosy and ask me what has been going on with me. I have become quite a hermit since illness progressed, also looked ill, big dark eye circles.....now a little better too ..but I wI'll be prepared for that .

It is important or at least interesting to understand the methodology of treatment.
The process to stop replication has begun and the virus is very short lived. Without the ability to replicate itself quickly it simply dies off. The almost immediate reduction in enzymes that shows up in an ALT/AST that will have plunged next time you have a blood draw is simply amazing.
Sometimes that 84 days seems or feels long but the fact is it is among the shortest wars in history. Well unless you count the war between The British Empire and Zanzibar in 1896. That one lasted 45 minutes.
This lil bit of history was designed to waste time which in turn,after you have read this, you are that much closer to Victory!

you could ask the specialty pharmacy about the tan product and if they cannot help you I suggest BB cream and bronzer. Canuck is right, probably best to stick with make up.

Congrats on pill #2 and probably #3 by the time you read this.
The first one is the hardest then the rest, no problem. Regarding the fake tan stuff? I thought exactly what Canuck did but honestly, I would just wait until after TX. They test these drugs with many others to check for interactions but they just cannot cover everything. 12 more weeks without that tan I am sure will be very tolerable. I would rather error on the side of caution.

hee hee hee hee Jaggles ... the "grey pink blotchy " ... description of yourself! I am intimately famliar with these colours too! LOL, (not that looking or feeling those colours is funny) ... actually I tend more to the pale withered mottled abscessed hue, neither was I happy or satisfied in letting my "unwellness" flag flutter away calling attention to a sickly face with a couple sunken wrinkled red eyes poking out of it, vanity oh vanity, I was so upset one time on one of my out-of-town trips to the doc that I had forgotten my face powder at home! Like ... I had to try to look better, for him?! I have a feeling that no matter how much face powder I might put on, I look the same to everybody anyway!
Your stuff?, I would try to google it, as much as you can, to find out what specific ingredients it has in it. If all it's ingredients are innocuous, you could consider it. But if you have ever had a hx of sensitive/reactive skin (especially if you have never usd this stuff before ) I wouldn't bother using it, just use make-up you are familiar with that you know you have never reacted to. If you are unsure ask your docs nurse, read her the main ingredients listed in it and see what they say.
If you have never used this stuff before, and you find no reason not to, then you would have to test-run it regardless, apply a patch of it on your inner arm where it will not show, layer a good test application on, go about your day and wacth that night and the next day for ANY hint of reaction. Do this test more than once, to make sure (1) you will not have an untoward reaction to it, 2) that you do not end up turning up at your party with a flaming orange-colored Trump-head. Also not the best look!
I too had a day or two of large funny BM's, early on when I started with the treatment, that soon passed (pun).

Day 2 and I'm rock and rollin... I'm feeling a little light headed and speedy happy relief....think it's because I know my body is finally getting extra soldiers to fight the battle.
the water is going down ok...2 litres morning...2 afternoon and as much as I can handle during the night
the worst side so far has been ( and it wasn't that bad ) large bowel movevent after taking Epclusa. Slight headache tried to kick in but i just drink water and it's gone.

Ps. Does anyone know if it's ok to fake tan on Epclusa ? The Australian variety called Skinny Tan. Sounds silly but not sure if anything absorbed via skin could affect? I have a party to go to in a few weeks and want to look better than grey pink and blotchy

Just took my first Epclusa after staring at the box on and off all night. My special alarm to remind me went off at 7.50 am and I nearly cried as I opened the bottle. Great big tablets to swallow lol but I got it in one without gagging cause I've waited so long for this moment. A little wave of anxiety but mostly excited thinking of the prospect of getting rid of this nasty evil virus and being free from so many symptoms now...looking forward to getting my energy levels back and most of all..the old ME back....not the angry frustrated, tired resentful cranky ill thing looking back from the mirror every day. The battle commenced ...I'm finally here on treatment. Thanks for all your support during my wobbly days...your wisdom and humour kept me armed with knowledge and knowledge is power .....and power won the panel and the doctors over enough to believe I was entitled to access this drug via NHS.
You all gave me the voice......I just had to shout loud enough ....
Happy days are here again ....bring it on!!
