depending on the lab's type RT PCR LLOQ treshold (eg. in my hosptial it's Abbot with 12 IU/ml LLOQ), thats barely detectable. W4 will be UND i am 100% sure ;)

So I guess the only way it gets better is <15 undetected?
I'm not really sure what the difference is between the two? Anyone?

And since I was under 15 after 7 days and today was day 16 I'm probably already totally undetected. I had my 2 week blood work done yesterday so next week I'll have those results. Then I'll have week 4 test, week8, week 12, then 12 weeks post tx and 24 weeks post. I truly believe gilead hit a home run with the velpatasvir! I can't feel the dragon taking its last breath!

With all this new stuff coming out maybe the prices will have to come down. Anybody know if they are coming down? If this is more expensive than Harvoni? Will insurance cover it the same way? Something to think about?
Best of luck TK if Wasn't cured I'd be right there with you Be safe and be cured

Hi Everyone,
Well today is day 14 on the sof/vel. And I'm very happy to report thst I still have absolutely zero side effects! I realize it doesn't make for very good updates but I'm sure some people may get some comfort from knowing sides are not always an automatic thing with these meds. I go in for my 2 week blood work tomorrow at 11am. I'm really hoping my 1 week vl test is back, but they did mention it takes like 5 business days for the vl test results. 14 hour work day today for me, hope you all have a great day!

Rich, Looks like you pulled a good arm on the trial. 24 weeks will get the job done. At week 10 in my last trial I had a molar/filling fall apart. With just two weeks to go I dident want to rock the boat, so I kept it to myself. Yesterday I spent 2 hrs in the Dentist chair having a crown build up and a temp installed. Had that happened early in treatment I would have reported it to the study and they would have OK"d antibiotics . It was just so close to the end of treatment,it did not hurt,so I decited to get it done at the end of treatment.
Glade your feeling well, and able to work. Daily noon atom bombs going off ! That sounds good! Keep up the good work. RC

Hey Rich,
I feel for ya brother! I think it was about week 4 that I had a tooth split in two under a crown and the nerve was comprimised. I was dying from pain. I saw an oral surgeon because my dentist was afraid that my low white count and platelets would cause trouble for both of us. I was on the old stuff and it made a difference then. But my hepatologist said that it was fine, gave the oral surgeon the okay to start me on Amoxicillin and pulled the tooth. I had no problems at all and it had zero affect on my treatment. Just make sure you start eating yogurt while on those antibiotics, your digestive tract will thank you for that! Good luck buddy or should I say "Toothy"?

Hey everyone!
Today's day 3 and I don't have much to report in the way of sides or anything. I do look forward to noon each day to take the pill, I feel like I'm dropping an atomic bomb on the virus every time I swallow one..lol.
Question for people who have been there. I think I may have an infection in one of my teeth causing much pain and swelling. I need to go to a dentist but was afraid to go on an antibiotic while on treatment. I emailed the trial coordinator and she said antibiotics were ok besides clrithromizan, (sp) and enythromizian. Anyone else had to take say amoxicillin while on treatment?

Hey Tk,
If I'm not mistaken, sof/vel is what may soon be marketed for across the board genotype cure (non-genotype specific).
If so, that should be a definite dragon killer.
Re: fibrosure test I'm guessing you mean .029, which is very good, you'll be killing the beast before it even leaves a bad scar on you.
