Thanks for all the well wishes everybody! I could pick up my Harvoni from the hospital pharmacy tomorrow but I'm going to choose a specialty pharmacy to deliver it via UPS instead due to uncertain future monthly transportation concerns (I'll learn to drive one handed/one footed eventually LOL). I want to wait to talk to my hepatologist before starting also - yes Malcolm and Robert, I do want to be sure 'NO Ribavirin' is his intent. And if all else fails, it's comforting to know I can get a Florida bubble wrap by you Tig.

Hi Mike,
Glad you were approved for Harvoni. I'd want the Ribavirin as well but I'm sure your medical team knows what is best for you. Cheers.

Hi Mike, what fantastic news!
I`m sure you`re right about why you relapsed last time. What a dreadful few months you`ve been through, and how you`ve managed to stay so upbeat is amazing. You really do deserve some good luck!
You should find Harvoni an easier treatment this time around, without having the ribavirin side effects to deal with, and I`m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the one.
Thanks for the update, I`m very pleased for you. Better times are ahead!

Very good news! I just got approval to re-treat with 24 weeks Harvoni (no Ribavirin). I did 24 weeks Sovaldi / Ribavirin last year 7/2014 thru 1/2015, Then I tested positive VL again in April. I feel like a big factor in my failing to achieve SVR was due to my Sov/Riba treatment being compromised 15 weeks post SOT, by other health issues which really trashed my immune system including several surgery's for broken back, ribs, feet, traumatic amputated arm and eventually amputated leg due to post-op infection.
This good news was not a moment too soon. I'm still living at a nursing / rehab facility and scheduled for discharge next month, but lately I've really had to drag myself through all the physical therapy due to the Hep C making my feel so fatigued. So I'm really looking forward to feeling energetic again and I'm hoping this round of treatment will be much less eventful (lol), and more successful than last year.
