Well done! We are really seeing an uptick in Epclusa prescriptions. You know what that means? It means it works!
I agree with Jill, you should stop all supplements while you're on treatment. They can interfere with drug efficacy and alter lab test results. Under any circumstances, ask your doctor's advice.
I mentioned administration times over in Liz's thread. I'll copy and paste that paragraph here. It basically comes down to how you respond to the medication. It should be easy though. That's the plan and we're sticking to it! Here's my thought:
"Regarding the best time? That is really subjective. With any protocol you will react a little differently than the next person. That being said, each new protocol seems to deliver less in the way of side effects. You may not even have to worry about it. If you do end up wanting to change the administration time, it can be done slowly. Stay compliant and take your meds at the same time every day."

Hi Ruby, congratulations on getting to this point, tomorrow will mark a very important turning point for your future health and life!
We do have a thread especially for smoothie recipes, started by our friend Linux (Dave), so please do feel free to share yours. I`m sure there`ll be a few more there you`ll want to try out too! Here`s the link ...
About Essiac, as far as I`m aware it`s a herbal based product and so I think it would probably be best to stop taking it while you`re on your Epclusa treatment. The usual advice for anyone on treatment is to stop all supplements unless approved by your doctor, and herbal products in particular.
I`ll leave the question on timing to our Epclusa experienced friends!
Very best of luck to you, how exciting!
(ps - I`ve moved your thread here to the `On Treatment` area, so you`re all ready to go!)

Epclusa APPROVED!
I'm starting therapy tomorrow Whew..it's been a bit of a trek to get to this point....requesting approval for S/D which was approved then the game changed once Epclusa became available. With all the paperwork, lost paper work at the insurance company and simply sitting and waiting for approval, I was finding it quite frustrating BUT I'm here ready for the 3 month sprint to Club Zero.
I do have a couple of questions.
Is there a better time to take the Epclusa, morning or bed that would make it even easier?
I am not a "Smoothie" person although I do have a couple of recipes I'm wondering if anyone would like to share any of there favourites or is there a site where I can obtain a few more, for variety sake.
I plan to share my experience keeping in accordance "help and be helped" and a few giggles along the way. I know I have been inspired by many posts of other members so it's my hope that I can do the same
*** I have been taking Essiac since June....does anyone know if Epclusa and Essiac can be friends? Or should I just stop. I'm always concerned not to be to hard on my liver.
