Hi Lau It's Niall Here..... ( not Neil)
Have tried with IE7 and a box comes into screanm with no picture and an x in corner. My usual browser though is Firefox, and here I just am getting the same problem of the word [youtube=] comes up. So I have relaxed all the security setting but this is not making a difference. I have done this on Steff's computer and the same problem occurs on hers. So there are 2 of us with this same problem using firefox version 2. which is the latest edition. Can you help as we are not qualified enough to be able to resolve this problem

Hi Neil,
I got this to work, but for it to work, you have to relax your security settings.
With Internet Explorer 7 it will fail first time, then second time you hit the Youtube Icon it will present you with a small yellow banner at the top of the page. Click this and then it will ask you if you temporarily want to relax security for this instance only.
Then the embedded post will work - just did it in off topic, "what music makes you tick" and added an Eagles youtube video. - check thast few bars and the Joe Walsh country lick on his Telecaster/Broadcaster - he can play a bit old Joe can..
I digress - If you run a different browser, or an older version of Internet Explorer, you may have to manually relax security and/or pop-up blockers just for the one post.
It should then work.
Hope that helps mate,
Lau

Hi Techies
Ok what is the problem here. It says to Embed a You tube video into a post one should click on the you tube button (above) and insert the embed code. I have done this with success, but only twice.
What is the problem, that most of the time all that happens is this.

[youtube=]
The embed code I used was
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3LdwGUXoXyA&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3LdwGUXoXyA&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
