Gidday Sarah,
CONGRATULATIONS
This comes as no surprise, but it is great to get that confirmation, the gold standard for successfully having beaten the virus through treatment. Well done Sarah, you didn't have an easy run of it but fought the good fight, and now reap the rewards.
Time to get back on with life, and nothing like a positive outcome like this to boot it along. Love the shot of the you and the bub:)
Have a goodun'
Cheers,
Brendan

Gidday Sarah,
Congrats on the tx end and that PCR result
In regards to meds its' 6 mths for ribavirin and at least that for interferon. The severity of sx's during tx would appear to be measuring stick for interferon.
Good luck with everything, your where I want to be
Cheers,
Brendan
P.S. Nurse at my clinic says the onset of eczema at your age would be tx related and that environmental as well as personal issues would possibly trigger it now. She suggested learning to recognise the siginals and moisturising affected areas regularly.

Hi nothingtolose,
I hope you are feeling better. I am six months post tx, and I would say the meds are almost gone. I didn't have real serious skin issues, but I did have some rashes, itching, all the usual suspects. They have pretty much all gone away, so I hope yours will leave soon also. I still have arthritis, or some kinda funky pain in my joints and bones. I think as tx is a little different for all of us, therefore post tx is different, too. We all keep some sx longer than other sx, if you know what I mean.

hey there nothing to lose
I have heard that it can take any where from 6 months to 1 yr for the meds to leave the system entirely however everyone is a bit different. Maybe some of the others have more definite information regarding this!

Hi Sarah, Great news!! Glad to hear you are feeling better. I'd suspect that the eczema is tx related and hope that it clears soon as the meds leave your system. Hugs Hxxx
