Hi Dustin, Viral load and liver damage are not correlated. You can have a low VL and serious liver damage. To assess liver damage you need to have a biopsy. Take care, James

I have known I was Hep C Positive for around two years... around the second month I found out I was sent to a specialist who checked my viral levels I guess and they were very low, almost undetectable.  So I didn't have treatment, two years later for the past week I have had horrible pains in my liver area, I know it isn't gas or something like that.  Should I make an appointment with the infectious disease specialist to see if I need to start treatment or what?
