Oh Dragonfly, what a brave, brave person you have been and still are. When you have recovered enough to have another go HIT it hard with the new drugs. It won't stand a chance. You are in my thoughts.

Gidday Dragonfly,
**** !!! oh ! Dragonfly my dear friend, that is sad to hear, but you are taking it the right way. The important thing is you have some semblance of normality in your liver thanks to the tx drugs, and this effectively means it's a bit like catching the virus again except you have the knowledge that you have it and sensible diet and living gives you plenty of time to regroup and then with the knowledge of your previous attempts to kill thde virus, wisely pick the way to wipe it for good.
While I expect to go SVR initially at the end of my tx, given the trouble I've had with tx, the immunologist in me says I'll end up in the same boat at my 6 mth SVR check... wish I wasn't so bloody clever sometimes, but that's what I expect and it's not me being negative - as you should know by now, I don't think that way !!
But Dragonfly as disappointing as this positive result is, it hopefully gives you the likely scenario of sometime in the future wondering if you want to clear the virus or just live with it if it hasn't reared up again. Get into good clean vedgies and fruit, cut back on your meat, replace it with fish and good chicken, exercise is important but don't go nuts, just get fit and maintain that.
I'm glad you at least have the realisation of gaining your pre-tx life back and in a lot of ways a pre-infection liver, look after yourself little lady and let me know how you are. Ahh !!! Life can be so strange, and sometimes the messages we receive are a bit confusing. I guess this one is a reality check of sorts, and I guess it's a bit up to how you look after yourself and the shape of your liver post-tx, whether the virus ever really rears up again. Good luck with that and I've got my fingers crossed for you that it all just doesn't anything except that you have a background vl and nothing else.
lotsaluv,
Brendan.

Oh Dragonfly, I am so sorry to hear that. Must have been such a shock for you.
Still, on the positive side your liver has had a welcome break and there are some very promising new drugs coming up. It`s great that you feel ok too and are getting your pre-tx energy and life back.
Wishing you the very best of luck next time round and in the meantime you should feel proud of your achievement completing the course. It takes guts.
Take care, love from Jill xxx

Unfortunately my test came back positive. For anyone undergoing tx please don't get discouraged, this is just me! Whatever happens it has given me some more time and there are new drugs coming. It's probably the cirrhosis but there is no way of telling. I'm lucky that I feel ok and have my pretx life back. Dragonfly xxx
