Hi Alex, And a very warm welcome from me as well! I am retired so I have not had to work on Tx, but as Steph says, your age should be on your side. Treatment is a little different for each person, so I can't actually say how it will be for you. The first few weeks are strange, but after that it hopefully will improve. I know your professors will help you out, they understand that people face obstacles in their lives and any good teacher will go out of their way to get you through your studies. You might need to be privately honest with them (You only need to mention a health issue, you don't need to be any more specific than that, if you don't want.). They only need to know that you are doing your best and are serious about getting through you classes. That was my job for almost thirty years and while we might be a bit scary in class, we all want what is best for our students. You'll need to rest more than you think you need to, but being careful to conserve your energy, I think you can do it! All the best, ty

Hi Alex and a very warm welcome
Everyone reacts differently to TX and some people do manage to work and continue studying. You have age on your side, which gives you an advantage.
I'm sure some members will be along soon, to tell you about their experience in this situation.
Hope all goes well with your appointment tomorrow!
Love Steff xx

hello everyone,
My name is Alex, i've had hep c for about 10 years. never really thought of starting tx, but recetly started to consider tx because of increased fatique, weakness, feeling "cloudiness", inability to concentrate. just a year ago my vl was 1 mil, now it jumped to 6 mil. tomorow i'm going to Dr. and most likely will start tx in weeks to come. the problem is that i have to work 2 days a week and have 4 days of college, where i need to be sharp at all times. But i dont know if i will be able to pull tx, college and work at the same time. I have geno 1, so it will be a whole year of fun on meds. Did anyone went thru the similar situation before?
Bless all of you
