Hiya Catie
I think people sometimes forget how hard it can be on on partners and loved ones, watching them suffering and feeling so helpless at times.

Catie,
With all that's going on with Greg he couldn't be in a better situation with you by his side. If everyone had such a strong support group I suspect the percentages of svr would go up. You're a rock, star, girl!

Hi Catie,
My thoughts go out to you both - sounds like Greg is going through a terrible ordeal. Please tell him I said hi.

Hi Catie, Yes, you summed it up in a nutshell. I can't stand this treatment, but I'm thankful that it exists. I just got off the phone with my primary care Doc, new AD's, more sleeping meds, etc. and we talked quite awhile about how rough this is sometimes. He's young, so I could be his first on tx, so he seems interested in the sx, as well as my mental state. It's an odd tx that lasts a long time, but this for the rest of our lives. I hope Greg is surviving these early weeks the best he can and I hope your looking out for yourself, also. Watching someone else go through tx can be even more stressful than the sx's themselves. Seems like you are doing a great job to me! ty

Greg and I made, and continue to make, every effort to be informed about this strange, strange circumstance
And it's good to know what is going on
But it isn't
It's really very frightening to know what is going on inside him
A war between gut feeling and intellect
My gut feeling is that what he's doing is wrong - well of course it would be - the treatment is ingestion and injection of toxins and they make him really ill
My intwlect however knows that the alternative to this drastic treatment is an almost 100% guarantee of a short life expectancy for him with a nasty wait and worry for the symptoms to appear ...
I want him around - one of my fondest hopes is that when we are old we can be like the 'old' grey haired couples you see walking hand in hand through shopping malls - I'll back the treatment and love him right through it and out of the other side
He's being amazing - stoic and strong - using every resource he can get his hands on to understand and cope and fight and make this work
Just venting a little and thank you for a place to do it - no need for comments
