Congrats on getting that starting date man, lets do it !!
On the work issue, I imagine if you are working as an artist I assume from what has been said it should be reasonably possible for you to work. I am like James work in a very physical type environment, so at times I had to take leave fro work when tx became overwhelming, as it probably will for you soem days.
With my fellow workers I told them I was going on chemo to treat a virus and that the drugs they use are pretty heavy and so I won't be there all the time. They were pretty cool and I did overdo it at one stage and ended up needing a month off to recover. They understood and when I returned it was at 2 or 3 days a week for a couple and then pretty well 4 days a week until I finished and now I am back fulltime.
If they like your work, and I assume since they offered you a job they must, it might be worth going over the contract to see if you needing time off might be a problem. When I told my guys it was chemo they didn't want to be nosy and new if I said I was going to give it a go, I would. If you can convince these guys you'll be able to put in but may need a bit of time off for doctor visits and bad days, like mine, they should be pretty cool, but there is always the possibility they won't be.
Best of luck with the job, but most of all, well done on starting tx man, that is going to be a good day.
Cheers,
Brendan

Hi Mano, please don`t feel that you post too often here - there are no limits! Some people post more than others, it`s whatever you need to do, and if you want to talk something over this is the place to do that. We might not always be able to answer everything but we are all here for support at least.
It`s a tricky one about the job, especally as you say that it will be a demanding one. No one can say how you will react to tx but it`s pretty certain that you will be feeling more tired and will need to take more rest. Well done for landing the job though, even if the timing isn`t quite so good! Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Let us know.
good news that you have a starting date now.

Hey Mano, I enjoy coming to this site and reading new posts. I work through the middle of the night and sometime have sleep issues aside from that. It can get boring after I get home in the wee hours of the morning so by all means, keep posting as you feel the need.
As far as the job issue, I'd say do what's in your heart. If you need a job really bad it might be a good idea to go in there and show em what you can do, if only for a week. But I don't know your line of work or the whole situation so it's kind of hard to advise - sorry.

Hi Mano,
Are you a freelance artist ? I can't give you any advise on telling your employer. I was pretty whiped out from tx and have a physical job, and there was no way I could work. But I did inform my employer, and they have been really cool about everything. People at work have been cool too. It can be a tough decision, my decision was to educate people as much as I can.
As far as posting to much, NO that is what the forum is for.
Best,
James
