I went ahead and took the test. It was Hepatitis C RNA by PCR Qual
as well as several other tests. I will have results and see how it goes.

I remember being tired around the time I was infected but that's all & only realized that fact when I was diagnosed. For me there was no real defining symptoms. I never turned yellow & only have dark circles under my eyes now because I am being treated. Don't sit around worrying about it, no good can come from worrying yourself unnecessarily. Put your mind at ease & go see your doctor
oh! you can be tested as early as 2 weeks after possible infection. But will need to have routine blood tests for 6 months to rule it out completely .. Hope that helps.

Hi skeptable,
I can understand your concern and I'm sorry that I don't have answers for you right now, in my case I was sympton free, I knew I had Hep C from a blood test but had a bad experience with the doctor and didn't do treatment at that time. Last year my GP found a cancer marker in my tests, so that is why I'm doing treatment now, so I can't really explain what the symptons are. I'm sure someone will come along who will be able to answer your question much better than I can. I will post a link for you to read I hope it helps. Also you may like to google for the symptons as well.
Please remember we are not trained medical people I can only advise you and wish you all the best.
Cheers, Greg

Hi skeptable,
Welcome to the forum regarding your question whether you have hep C or not, the only way to be sure is to get tested, so the best thing to do is go see your local GP. I think you may have to wait 6 months after being infected to test positive, but I could be wrong, best see your GP.
Good Luck, Greg

I may have been expose to hep C but I do not know for sure. I am wondering if dark under and around eyes is a symtom to early hepatitis C.
I do remeber getting a yellow color to my skin for a couple of days. and now the dark color under eyes is still there.
Does this sound like early hep c infection <2 months
How early can you test and are there free testing centers?
Awesome.
Thanks for sharing, the greatest of news.
Ron
