Hi Sunny,
I wasn't around then but thanks for sharing your great news. Someone who has something that awful happen deserves to clear the virus without treatment. I'm so happy for you :)

Oh, and by the way...I still peek in on this forum quite a bit and I always get so excited when I hear good news, or hope in the voices at least. I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to the meds just getting better and better so that everyone can clear this disease!

Hi guys, just wanted to pop in a share some good news...
Don't know who remembers me but I was infected with Hep C 1A after an unruly patient threw a bloody IV insertion needle into my thigh. I was just about to start treatment but then got very acutely ill and my doctor said to hold off becaue it was consistant with signs of spontaneously clearance. And low and behold...a month later I was undetectable!
I had my viral load checked again last week and I am still undetectable at 7 months post spontaneous clearance! Now, I know that the odds of me relapsing after a spontaneous clearance are practically non-existant, but I was still quaking a bit while I waited to have my results read off to me. The doctor stated it is unlikely that I will ever have a reoccurance and viral loads need not be ckecked anymore, but to be safe, I should get my ALT and AST checked once a year. I guess there is still questions about the possibility of reoccurance if one becomes immunosupressed with like chemo or organ transplantation meds, but I am not going to worry about that little "what if"!
So, looks like I am free to really put this all behind me now. Well...after my lawsuit settles. Thanks again for all the support last year and I wish you all the best of luck with your treatments. Ciao!~
