On week 2 I started to notice that my mood had lifted. Perceptibly, not a day-and-night difference, but an improvement nonetheless.

Hey Brad that's so cool! I was just starting to rock climb, when this C bugger got me. Noticed I was loosing strength, so didn't continue, but that was a loooooooooooong time ago now.
Get out there and have fun, it sounds fab. and take a pic from the top, it'll be a great memory.....Iris

Hi Brad. That's really motivational and great to hear that these pains are easing up for you. I too stopped getting muscular aches and pains to anywhere near the same intensity both on tx, and thereafter. It seems to be something that quite a few people notice, certainly post-tx.
Wish you all the very best with your tx.
Hugs

Hi everyone, I hope the battle goes well.
I am just now seeing a wonderful benefit that I suspect is coming from my TX.
You see, I love to rock climb, but over the last few years, I began to experience bad arthritis in a long ago injured knee. NOTHING helped much. Drugs, therapy, etc, just kept it barely usable. Even a light climb would result in bad inflammation for weeks.
Well, 1 week after beginning Tx, my knee quit hurting. Two weeks, and the swelling was down. Three weeks, I went for a pretty tough climb.
Two days later (now), when I normally would have been in agony...NOTHING! My knee is perfect. Maybe it is a direct result of the TX drugs, but I really suspect it may be the down-regulating of my auto-immune system in response to a (hopefully) lowered viral attack/load.
I know Hep C is linked to arthritis, but wow, who'd a thought?
I am thankful beyond words to have a chance at slaying this nasty thing, and I truly hope each and every one of you kills this piece of single stranded, RNA crap.
