B~ Sorry your having these problems. Why was your Dr upset about you taking Aleve? Am I missing something here? I start my treatment this week. All of my meds(Rib,Tela and Peg) arrived yesterday...kinda got a sick feeling it my stomach....it's all becoming too real at this point. But I read alot of these posts and it helps. Keep fighting your battle and will be praying for your Mondays test to be undetectable!

Hi B161: The simple answer to the question regarding why tx continues past the incivek's end is that the virus, in all likelihood, is not gone yet.
I'm sure there are some who would disagree, but if your doctor is so concerned that he/she keeps talking to you about discontinuing tx you should pay attention. It is hard as hell to accept after going through all this, but your doc may just be thinking about saving your future health or your life. After all, we do not possess medical degrees or the sophisticated knowledge of physiology, chemistry, and medicine that board certified physicians do, so we need to defer to their judgment unless their judgement is plainly suspect (which doesn't mean we just don't like their advice).
I would have a sit down with doc and ask some very direct questions about why he keeps talking about stopping. These drugs are very toxic and can be extremely dangerous to some people.

Hi, I just found this forum & feel the need to reach out. I finished week 12 on 2/6. Since then I actually have felt worse. Last night when I was dizzy, short of breath, weak & face swollen like a moon beam my Dr said go to ER & get checked out. Mild anemia. I see my Lahey Dr. on Monday which is closer to week 14 for VL & blood work. During week 10-11 I had such leg pain I couldn't walk. Finally took 2 Aleve & voila-gone! Dr. not happy about that but I couldn't stand the pain anymore. It seems like eveytime I talk to im he talks about stopping treatment. I haven't gone this long to quit. My VL was <43 at week 4. Hoping for undetectable with Mondays test. So WHY do they have you continue on w/the riba & peg for another 14 or 36 weeks? Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks B
Have moved this to General Discussion
Love Steff xx
