Thank you. I tried something new today,I ate the pills seperately, each with a huge bite of home made mac n cheese. I started with a glass of water. end ended with more water and then a glass of cocoa. This time the medicine did not come back up. I hope this is more than a one time success. Have a blessed evening everyone

I have been on Victrelis for about 6 weeks now--it does cause me to be nauseous almost daily. Usually just in the mornings. I do take the first dose with breakfast--generally yogurt/granola/blueberries. The nausea lasts through the morning and I just try to drink a lot of water and get busy with my day. The bad taste is also worst in the mornings. Some try hard candy to help get ready of the taste. Lately I have been waking in the middle of the night feeling queasy--it comes & goes. I have been lucky that I have not yet gotten sick. I really have a hard time taking my last dose at 10:30 with food. I try to eat a snack about an hour or so before that --some chips or cheese. And I drink a lot of herbal teas in the evening Hope you feel better soon Shep

I was expecting a metalic taste, which Id prefer or the meds taste!! I was tired when waking upthat I wrote down I took my copeg, but the pill counter says other wise, so great now I might of missed a dose. Im counting the days and pills now that I am up again to see where I am on the copeg. Thank you both for the insight. Now I just gotta find what food is the perfect food for me to keep those pills from bursting and coming up, they didnt for the second dose but I still taste them.

I had the same problem with my first few doses of Victrelis. I like yogurt & oatmeal with mine. I've only been on it for a week and still get a little queasy sometimes, but not with every dose. Good luck!!!

Have had nausea every couple of days on Victrelis but no vomiting. Was worse in the beginning and some foods make stomach more settled (cheese, yogurt, cheesecake, fruitcups, some fruits like mango, rice pudding, etc) and some foods (crackers, drier / saltier) have caused real stomach cramps and nausea. Oatmeal and Victrelis are not a combination that was very appetizing to me so I've chosen to eat what I feel like even if I gain some weight - right now holding about study (3 months on Victrelis). Bad taste is always there (peaks about 3 hours after taking pills) - the largest change for me is I can't drink regular coffee or latte's but soy latte's from Starbucks are good because they use sweetened soy milk.

I took my Copeg at 11am and along with a sleeping pill my Dr gave me.
I took my first dose of Victrelis at midnight. First off the capsules taste aweful.
I had eaten about 2 hours before taking it, and right before actually taking it I had instant oatmeal. I went to bed at 12;30am and around 1;15am all the sudden the medicine is coming up my throat. Just felt like the med itself and no stomach acids. Its so hard to get that taste out of my mouth and get the med to stay there.
I didnt get sick, no side effects and feel fine this morning. But getting ready to take my second dose and hoping this will not be the norm. Does anyone else experience this?
