Hi cayohueso1! Hey, I'm a 30 year infected also! and I love Key West! so we've got those things in common. I am into week 5 of triple TX. For me the first three shots were really rough. Like you, I am flat out for several days and then gradually start to feel better each day after that, but for 4 or 5 days each week it's been tough. The 4th injection and week went better and this 5th week has been easier still. However, the dr. did lower my injection to 135 this week. Injection 6 will be back at 180 so I'll see how that goes. But on week 3 and 4 I was so afraid to inject because of the pain I had experienced during week 1 and 2. God, I wasn't sure if I could do it again if it was going to be like that every shot. BUT thank GOD it's getting easier!!! I hope, like many of our fellow travelers who have posted, you find it easier with the second shot. I really wish that for you! Today is Sunday and I'm sending out some healing energy and support your way. All the best!

Thankyou for caring so much about me, it makes me cry. And for some reason the last couple of days I have cried over stranger things. Did you see the picture on yahoo about the twisters and the old man hugging his dog he found in the ruins. It broke my heart and I cried. A long time. Must be the meds. Tomorrow afternoon is almost here. Oh, and Im starting to get a rash across my jaw and above and below my lips curling up around my nostrils. Im in sales for pete sakes and anywhere but my face.. thankyou Cinnamon Girl, for being here for me. Cayohueso1

Hi Lori, thanks for that, it`s kind of you to say so!
After feeling so rough after my first shot I must say I wasn`t sure if I could get through tx, and I was so relieved when the 2nd one was a lot easier, and I really hope it will be the same for you too. I`m just so glad I did it now!
Being part of a fantastic forum like this is such a great help too, especially when you`re living on your own and not getting much support from anyone.
This is your time, so take it easy and be kind to yourself, you`ll be fine I`m sure.
Take care, Jill xx

Hi There! Thats about the same time I do my shot on Sunday eve! You made me laugh right out loud! 2 reasons. First, I heard Im supposed to fat up, so Ive been drinking vanilla Haagan Daaz milkshakes and eating pints of Haagan Daaz cookies and cream, like they're going to be declared extinct at any time. And second I really felt like death the first shot and the next couple of days afterwards, I like laying in the bed anyway, watching t.v. when Im not working but I really need to set aside 2 days of bedrest. My 2 days off anyway. When I woke up on Thursday this week it was amazing that I actually felt like I could do something besides just make to work. Lets stay in touch, after all we are doing our shots at the same bat-time, probably on the same bat-channel. God Bless, Cayohueso1

Hi there. Because I live where its so hot, I drink about 100fl oz a day, I work ouside. I have had a lot of brain fog, over the last couple of years as the fatigue from the hep worsened, so I absolutely understand brain fog. Ive drank massive amounts of cuban coffe for over 25 years and I have quit cold turkey for this! Talk about brain fog! The most common thing I seem to say lately is,"I'm sorry, now what was I saying??!" One similarity I can tell you is that when I am working outside and I sell watersports so come Aug, Sept when its really hot, I notice I have more fog than usual its a sign of dehydration. When you notice youre really thirsty, its too late you are already dehydrated. Blue Wave waterbottles.com have these cool bottles in different sizes that you can refill and you can buy the matching cases with straps and they have a place to hold your cell phone. I have the 16 oz one for short errands and I have the 64 oz one for work. If guys can have a man purse, you can have a man bottle, Check it out, thankyou so much for your post and well wishes I really appreciate it. God Bless, Cayohueso1

First shot was a kicker for me also, but as the weeks pass by they get easier, or they did in my case, my main sx has been the notorious brain fog. It's horrible some days! Ive learned that the better hydrated I am the better it is....

Lori,
I'll be thinking of you Sunday nght. I do my shots on Sundays at about 6PM. I have a feeling this one will be less trouble than the first. Let us know how you feel Monday or Tuesday, for sure, and in the meantime enjoy these good days. Treat yourself to a nice vanilla shake (at a soda fountain) for that evening dose of Incivek or Victrellis, and catch a movie. Anytime I lay in bed dying for a couple of days I always treat myself when I realize I'm not actually dead.

Hello everyone. This is cayohueso 1 calling on all of you from the southernmost city in the continental U.S. Thankyou,Thankyou, to all of you especially those who responded to my call for help after my first shot. I do my shot on Sunday and yesterday( Thursday) when I woke up for the first time, I almost felt like normal. Whatever normal is cause I've been sick for 30 years. What Im trying to say is that with my next shot 2 days from now, at least I got to feel pretty okay for 3 days a week! But I will say that I was stiff and could barely walk the other days, didnt ride my bike to work like I do everyday for 35 years( this is a bicycle town) and had to take the bus. Im pretty scared of my next shot, but all of you that talked to me and said the same thing happened to you said the 2nd shot gets better. No family or anyone to help me thru this( boyfriend of 10 years, away) just you guys. I am not getting much help from my primary dr which is really kind of offending, but you guys know more anyway!! Loading up the fats and God Bless all of you on this Journey, your friend, cayohueso 1 -Lori
