Aww, thanks hun! I'm looking forward to the move too for all the above reasons. It probably will also be easier to get regular blood work etc to make sure every thing's okay with the WBC, which will make me breathe easier too.

I am guilty as charged. Which brings me to one of the little-known side effects of this treatment that I haven't mentioned yet. It has brought out the sentimental old fool in me, and I get choked up at the drop of a hat. That would be a problem for a lot of guys. But I really don't care. I get teary-eyed whenever I want to. I sorta' hope this side effect lingers.

It seems there is a lot of love there. Let it drive your decisions. One thing seems certain to me, at least. You two are more powerful together than you are apart. I would find a way to share a home during these tough times.

That's three votes for the love birds sharing a nest. Do you think we will be invited to the wedding? Ha! Alan, you romantic dude, you.

Hi Lindsey, I totally understand, I would be worried with her on the bus too. Don't you gals have a couple of friends you could talk into hanging out for awhile, maybe just periodically? OR why don't you move in together before the surgery? ya ...like Isis said, this experience will make you or break you and I'm with the former also. Remember ...it's temporary.
So sorry about that foot though, what a hassle, I've brook both feet (not at the same time!) and driving was very dangerous (and pretty painful on an occasion where a boy on a bike shot out in front of me YIKES!!! E brake), I didn't need serious surgery though, so honey, you better take care, and when they say stay off the foot....uh huh, uh huh, ya... you're listening Best wishes to you both, Love from Iris

You two love and need each other. So, how about her moving in with you and letting the cleaning and laundry go a little bit, just for a while (or better yet let the school people help out while you guys chill). Work out the details around that plan.
Either this experience will seal the relationship in cement or you will kill each other. (I'm betting on the former.)
Wow, I can't believe my mouth is walking into someone else's domestic situation. This might be brutal, for me that is.

Last fall, I had foot surgery to repair a chronic major foot break that was acutely retriggered. I was fortunate that I was back to partial weight bearing by the time that Renee started her treatment regimine and was there for her during the first week of treatment and periodically would spend time together each month. Last week, I found out that my surgery failed, and that I needed to have a more invasive/intensive surgery. Renee and I planned on moving in together in May, but my doctor said he did not recommend putting off the surgery until mid-May/early-June and will not permit me to move until July at this point. Major bummer!!!!! What also flat out sucks is that I can no longer drive since the surgery was on my right foot, and Renee will have to take a bus out here. I'm nervous because of her compromised immune system being out on a bus. I'm nervous about relying on her for help when I know she doesn't feel great either, knowing that I don't really trust people at school quite enough yet to do things like my laundry or help me clean my apartment (rides and grocery runs are okay for them to help me with though). I just feel like I'll be the burden when Renee is going through side effects of treatment. I just don't know how to balance the need to care for myself and be there to help Renee without either one of us feeling exhausted. Sorry....just needed to ramble a bit!
