Susanna--I am a little worried, I hate that you are having such a hard time. Do you not feel comfortable talking to you doc about all the sx? I know there have been times I just wanted to quit but I have sort of fallen into a drone like routinue and take it one day at a time. I have found that some of sx have improved and I think may be because I have been as regular as possible which has given my body time to adjust and monitor. I also realize that everyone is different and the sx are different for everyone. Hang in there!!

I have swelling around my outter throat, and in my throat, so I cut back my meds to test and see if that helped, it did, it went away, this is without my Dr knowing. I dont know if its red, but its nice to havea break from my sore throat once in awahile. Probably bad for my overall treatment, but I have to experience feeling ok once in a while so I kinda stop my treatment every once in a while so I can continue on it. Im really struggling continuing on treatment so I give myfelf days once in awhile, and well Its more tolerable planning on having a day that I feel good, rather than knowing it would be til December feeling so bad. Throat spray helps, and tea.

Oh goodness! I don't have a riba rash in the throat but this week I did contract strep throat. I have not been this sick in nearly 20 years. If I had gotten better by today--I was going to the hospital. Fortunately today I am starting to improve. I can actually swallow again. And of course am now on anti-biotics in addition to everything else. Hopefully will be back to feeling only triple txy rather than strepy--gag!

Hi there Brian, how is your throat now, any better? Well it could be that you have a throat infection. It`s not unusual to get infections of the mouth and throat when on tx, because the effect of the medications on your white blood cells means you have a lowered immune system.
Have you mentioned it to your doctor?
Hope you`ve found something to relieve it now. Let us know how you`re getting on.

I've had a sore throat last couple of days, so I did the salt water gargle, then today i looked at the back of my throat with a light, and it looked just like the red bumps on my elbows.
Anyone else encounter this? If so any solution? swallowing is quite painful if eating anything non soft. hope this makes sense.
Hang in there!!
