Malcolm, hang in there buddy! I just finished the 12 weeks of Telaprevir. I gotta be honest, it was rough. Hitting golf balls would be out of the question for me. I'm now 3 days into the next phase of tx and feeling a little better each day. I hope your sx are minimal and I wish you great success with your treatment!

All the sx you describe, I will ditto that. Cirrhotic or not these meds are alot to process. VL drop looks fantastic!. Now go out there and whack those little dimpled babies straight down the fairway.

Gidday, After 2 weeks of Vict., saw my doc today. After complaining about the Sx he said ' at your age with cirrhosis, what do you expect'.
I guess after breezing thru the 4 weeks leadin, and after having had no real problems with my 26 weeks of SOC in 2000, it was a shock to feel so bad after 4 days of Vict. Reading the forum, I seem older than most, and with cirrhosis, 48 weeks seemed a long time out of my life, particularly when I was given only a 30-40% chance of achieving SVR. My viral load drop from 1.28m to 3,030 was reassuring, but will be very happy if my VL after 4 weeks of Vict. is undet. or very low. The lethargy, insomnia, headaches and metallic taste have decreased a bit, but I'm now determined to go out and hit some practice golf balls. There is probably a bit of the poor-me's going on. Thanks for being out there and listening.
