I am so happy for you both--it is hard to be away from the ones you love. Glad you found an apartment--know that can be a challenge. Used to live in Boston area about 25 years ago. Hope the moving goes smoothly! Shep

Congrats, I know how hard it can be to find dog friendly landlords. What part of Boston did you end up in? (I'm from Lexington originally but in San Fran now). We just got a rescue dog at week 10 of my treatment cause life wasn't complicated enough already lol. Don't forget to post a pic of Malachi.
Best, dave

We didn't get that first apartment, but instead, we have a very large, two bedroom apartment in a great area. We're so happy she'll get to keep her dog Malachi. He's a total sweetie, but a lot of landlords are not dog friendly. He has been such a source of comfort to Renee during treatment, so thankfully all three of us can be together and Malachi and I can support Renee :) Renee's WBC counts are very low, so she will need to be checked weekly and possibly given a shot, so I'm glad that we can soon make sure those labs etc are done regularly. Plus, Hep C treatment aside, it'll be so great not having to do the long distance relationship thing! Six weeks and then we'll be together!

Really good to hear this Lindsay ! I should imagine going through this experience has brought you even closer emotionally so it will be wonderful to be together.
Good luck with the apartment viewing tonight, and yes, definitely use house movers!
Hope that foot of yours heals soon.
All the best to you both ~ Jill xx

Finally it is May, and by July at the latest, Renee and I will be living out in the Boston area together. I wish her treatment was over by then, but at least she's doing okay on it. It has been so hard wanting to help out, even to just give a back rub to soothe achy muscles or gently use a cold washcloth on her head and face when the fevers are bad, knowing we only see each other 7-10 days a month. Tonight a friend and I are going to look at an amazing apartment that fits all our major needs/wants...here's hoping we get this one because we could move in June 1st. We'll make quite the pair moving...her with symptoms and me still dealing with my foot healing post surgery. I may not be able to walk when we move (but hey, at least this gives me an excuse to hire movers instead of doing it myself)! This journey has been long, but we've tried to both be there for each other through it all. It'll be a relief being together but more importantly, knowing that I'll be able to get her to all her appointments as that has been an issue where she is now. Renee's health is a huge priority in my life, and I'm glad that soon, I'll be able to step up even more. I'm a Cancer, so relationships, nesting, taking care of others and family are all big to me....I'm glad that I'll soon be able to fulfill those :)
Hope the moving goes smoothly!
