Hello, I tried treatment in 2002 and was a non responder. However, with this treatment, the Dr. said I met the threshhold for the medication to be working because my VL during week 3 labs was 63 and the threshhold is <1000. Again, all of my labs after week 3 were the basic wbc, rbc, and other liver function panel and no VL measure. I was under the assumption VL was measured at 4, 8, & 12 weeks, but I could be wrong as though I'm only the patient with little research (joking). Next week I will have my 12 week labs and will get the VL mesaure. I just want some form of normalcy after the incevick. When I took the rib and peg in 2002, I didnt feel this bad.
That is my understanding as well... usually weeks 4, 8 and 12 weeks.
I have put in a request for a VL test at week 18, but I'm not sure I will get it. The nurse is checking to see if the dr will ok it.
So you had your VL a week early at week 3... with a count of 63. Man, I'm no dr but seems to me another week and that would have come in UND! But, like you said, I'm just a patient ... doing what I'm told.
In a couple of weeks you are going to start feeling much better!

Incivek is a bear. A grizzly bear. But it works. Once you finish it, the whole treatment picture will change for the better. As Mark said, you will still be on some powerful meds, with side effects, but nothing like Incivek. And you will never have to do that again.

Hi je. What's up Atlanta!?!?!
For me, a week or so after ending the Incevik, tx definitely got easier... not without challenges, but easier and more energy for sure. My RBC is going up a little and that has made such a difference. My White is still on the fence but starting to move up a bit also.
I think if your 4 week VL is UND you may end up with 24 weeks of tx. My 4week VL was

Hello Everyone, Friday, May 25, 2012, 6:00aam, will be my last dose of incevick. I'm still scheduled to remain on peg and riba for 24 week or 36 weeks, which my doctor has yet to tell me. Since being on treatment, my labs have been normal with the exception of low wbc and rbc. I went to the specialist last week and have another appointment this week. The Dr. informed me I would possibly have to take a low dose of Procrit and another shot for the low wbc. After stop taking the incevick will I regain some of my energy?
