For some reason African Americans with Genotype 1A are very hard to treat. I have never had an undetected. For some strange reason my numbers start decreasing then they increase to higher than before I started. No reason given for this.
I was hoping for some replies to my post to see if other had experienced the same thing, but I have not received any.

I'm 1A and on Victrelis, too. One shot and two weeks of pills left to complete 28 week tx duration. Undetected from week 8 thru 24. Sx have certainly been real, but minimal and manageable. Anemia and fatigue the worst, resulting in reduced riba at week 17. Apparently did not affect 24 week results.

Hi fecvox, I see you`ve posted on the forum before, so welcome back! Sorry to hear you haven`t responded to tx so far.
I did the double combo tx, but there are people here who are doing the triple with boceprevir, who didn`t respond previously and who are doing well.
I expect other people will be along to reply to you soon.
All the best to you, Jill xx

Hello everyone,
from US genotype 1a. Each time I try the treatment my nos are initially good for about 2 months, but then they suddenly shoot up. Has anyone else experienced this. The doctors stopped the treatment as it was not working. Has anyone with the same genotype had a good response from these drugs?
