Hi Andi , good luck with your tx.
My alarm setting are as follows;
7am-Riba & Vic
2pm-Vic
9pm-Riba and vic.
works ok for me no sleep issues after first couple of days. After reading this I suppose I should move 9pm riba to 7pm. Will read Steffs link to see if it is a real issue, But 3 alarms keeps things simple enough.

No, this is my first time doing Tx. Kinda scary but so far I'm okay. I was half asleep when my partner woke me up toremind me of my meds and did my shot with no problem lol. How are you doing on your Tx?
Thx
You should put reminders in your phone, very helpful. In a few weeks you'll tend to forget things and missing or being late for your incivek is not good. Good luck!

OMG Steff. I have had a preference for fatty foods since I startedtx. Before I was a veggie and rice only person with a sweet tooth. I bought butter and cheese andmayo for the first time in years since I've been on tx. I feel a little better about it now it was helping me? Yeah I just hope I can go back!

Hi All,
According to the info leaflet, it should be taken 12 hours apart. It should also be taken with food, preferably with a high fat content to help absorption and prevent gastric problems. I'm sure the folk on Triple Therapy have had enough of fatty foods, though!
My PA says it doesn't matter when you take the Ribavirin just 5 a day in my case

I have the same scheduale! Incivek at 7am, 3pm and 11pm. Ribavirin around 8am and 8pm. Pegasys every Friday evening because I have someone to watch the kids on Saturday just in case I don't feel well.

Does anyone know why the riba has to be 12 hours apart. When my husband was reduced from 1200 to 600 (3 pills / day), we thought it would make more sense to take a pill every 8 hours so they'd be evenly spread in the body throughout the day. But the PA insists on 2 pills in the morning and 1 pill 12 hours later. That just makes no sense whatsoever to me. We're doing it that way but it still makes no sense.

Hi Andi; I too at the moment don't work etc; At first I was very regimented about my meds; now however wth brainfog, sfx, etc (I'm on antideppressant & sleep med) my sleep schedule is way out of wack (be watchful for that further in, I'm in week #25 out of 48) so I do my best to take my riba 12 hours apart. I have missed some morning doses due to oversleeping my alarms; and kept my NP aprised; I thankfully have not missed two doses in a row. Do your best NOT to miss doses! (LOL it's like my daily mantra) I take my pegasys shot every sat evening just before sunday morning so I can most likely sleep through the first part of the sdfx of the shot. I try my best to keep busy during the days ( I usually spend a good chunk of the day researching genealogy), and try to get a small walk in daily with my dog. It's not always easy; I know some here on the forum have been holding up full & part time jobs as well as going to a gym through all this (KUDOS to you my friends!) I however, couldn't imagine having to do that all trhgouh this. Everyone reacts differently to the meds and while some will have the harder side effects and others not, and still some get the more rare; for me the key has been having a good support network around me, lots of WATER, and to take it one day at a time. As incredulous as it sounds to me; in some ways; I have gotten used to tx; and at first it does take some getting used to the med schedule; once you find a system that works for you stick to it and it becomes like habit :) Welcome to the forum! ~Fight the good fight Precious~ (Preed from Titan A.E.)

7 am 3 pm 11 pm sounds fine.
Injecting the Pegasys on Monday night is odd though...unless your work week ends on Monday, of course. Side effects of pegasys usually show up the following day or the day after, which is why I always took it on Fridays.

Hi Andi,
Cograts on starting, you'll find lots of help and advice here on the forum.
Regarding your riba, I was specifically told by Walgreens Infusion Services, who dispensed my meds, that the riba was twice a day, separated by a minimum of 8 hours between doses. So, in theory, you could take your second dose as early as 3:00 pm.
I used the same schedule as you propose, except I took my second riba dose with a light meal around 6 pm.
Best of luck,
Brad

Hi Andi, Everyone finds their own schedule but it takes time. Riba. is meant to be taken every 12 hours, and Incivik or Victrelis every 7-9 hours. This gives the most effective blood levels. I take Vict. and Riba. at 7am, Vict. at 2pm, Riba. at 7pm and Vict. at 10pm. I have not had any sleep problems.
There is usually a wheel in the pack( of Riba. and Peg.) which gives suggested schedules.
