Thanks for all your advice. You've helped me a lot during this stressful and anxiety filled time. I'm taking a day off work to finally get to talk to the doctor tomorrow so I hope to get some real answers. If they won't give her hep c treatment, there are still other drugs she needs to take?

Hi Glenn, from your previous post your mother is 60 yo, with Grade 3-4 fibrosis. This is not cirrhosis. Also you thought treatment wasn't offered to your mother due to low platelets.

There is no problem with overseas travel. You need to take a detailed letter from your doctor with a list of any drugs being taken.

Can anyone please provide insight on if there are any complications with Hep C\Cirrhosis that would prevent overseas travel?

We're currently located in the US. My mother was diagnosed with Hep C/Cirrhosis. Day-to-Day she seems fined with minor fatigue on some days. The doctors at this point are just waiting to give her a transplant. I'm still trying to receive clarification on why she can't get Hep C treatment and we can only wait for a transplant. The list wait seems to be up to 2 years. She was just put on the list so I doubt she would receive an organ this fast within the one-two month span that she would have been on the list.

My mother was born overseas but has never been to or visited her home country. I really wanted to take her to visit her home country once before she possibly gets too ill to go.
