Haven't been on a Forum for at least 9 years. This is very confusing. I used to be able to watch the chats and get info.

Hi wilsondog, I have no rash, very little patch like appearance on my chest that comes and goes, nothing major. It's the damn itching that drives me up the walls!!! I got Hydroxizyne just like you've recommended before, steroidal cream, sel sum blue(my scalps is also itchy and very dry), more gold bond and prep H! My cabinets look like home pharmacy. Not to mention other antihistamines...yep Incivek is doing its thing. What do you do for dry scalp?

How extensive is your rash? Is it on a limited part of you body or spread out? Does it get better then get worse? If it's spread and is unbearable even intermittently, get to a dermatolgist before it gets worse! I was put on Prednosone (you don't want to have to go there) and given a prescription strength cream, and give hydroxyzine to take at night.
What happened was my Dr. let my rash go too far because it was calming somewhat on the Zyrtek during the day, then would flair up at night to the point where I got no sleep! Once I was finally covered with rash, he referred me to the dermatologist. I wouldn't wish the misery on my worst enemy, so be persistant with the Specialist because this is NEW drug and the GI's have yet to see the variety of allergic reations yet. (assuming we're talking about Insivek here.)
I wish you no more itch!
