I have had wrenching leg cramps (and Hep C) for a long time, and could be quite painfull after a long night of those. They went away for the most part when I started treatment. Whether due to irradication of the virus or actually getting hydrated, I don't know, but I'll take it.

My legs ached allot when I first was ill, it was one of the symptoms that made me know something was up, after the acute phase was over, ...my legs still hurt but not quite as bad,....OR,...I have just got used to it after 30 years.
How long have you noticed it?

Do your legs and veins hurt when you have hep c?
Each person has unique experiences but mylong story~short is:
1. have reason to believe that the periphral neuropathy in feet are HepC related.
2. have occasional cramps and some pain in calves that I have reason to believe are HepC related
My legs were restless and achy before treatment but on treat ment they ache, are very stiff, and get restless. I do yoga and my calves are so stiff- they were NOT like this before! I sometimes get sciatic pain as well, which is relieved by yoga but these days I feel like I have arthritis. I am a lucky one though, this Friday will be my last shot and next will be by last RIBA! I look forward to these aches and pains moving on. Can't quite remember what that's like...

Mine didn't hurt, but the swelling in my ankles, particularly on days when I was sitting a lot, was ridiculous. It was that rubbery kind of swelling, that your socks leave a print in, and you can mash a place with your fingertip and the dent will stay for a minute. This may have nothing to do with hep c in particular, but I am convinced it has to do with a liver under attack. Now that I am in treatment, the only leg problem I have is restless legs at night (I call it nervous knees). You can do a search at the top center of the blue bar for " restless legs" and see a variety of wonderful solutions, at least one of which works very well. Alan
