Best of luck for an easy, sx-free treatment! (Even if you are a Red Raider! Hook 'Em!)

Great to hear you`ve got off to such a good start, Ben!
Not everyone does have a rough time after their first shot, but we always like to warn people to be prepared, just in case.
Best of luck for the rest of tx!

I took my first dart thurs morning at 5:30 and it's now fri morning about 1:00 and I guess I might be lucky( knock on wood), I've really haven't seen much side effects. I went to bed about 6:00am and got up about 1:00 pm and had about 30 min of a very light nausea after I woke. Took my pm pills about 8:30pm and got kinda sleepy but I'm not sure if it's the pills or just working nights. So far so good.

Good thinking. A couple days one way or the other won't matter, as long as you don't cause a rip in the fabric of the time-space continuum. Starting something new on the 13th could very easily do that. So by now you have begun, and I clap you on the back and wish you the best. This is a good day for virus to die.

Changed my mind, I'm going to start Thursday morning. My decision is two fold. I'll have a guy training with me tomorrow and Friday night so I can hide out if I feel to bad and I didn't want to start my treatment on Friday the 13. Didn't want any bad luck coming my way, lol

Good luck Ben, hope your shot goes well!
Glad you`ve come out of lurkdom to join us, you`re with a great crowd here! And good to hear you`ve got an understanding boss, that should really help.
Let us know how it goes, and by the way check out the Friday Night Darts Club thread if you haven`t already. It`s in the On Treatment section, right at the top.

Ive been lurking on here for about a month now trying to gauge how treatment effects everyone. I received my first shipment of meds today and I'll take my first shot on Friday morning when I get home from work (just love working nights). I'm on night 6 of a set of 18, so I'm very nervous about working Friday night. So far my boss has been very supportive of making sure my shift is covered so I can make dr appointments and has told me whatever I need I've got it. Luckily if it gets to bad I have short term disability I can take and also long term. I'm going to be doing triple with pegasys, RIBA and victrellis. Everyone wish me luck.
