For you to drop from a VL of 200,000 to VL of 31 in 4 weeks is more than a 2log drop. You are on the way to becoming a EVR (Early Virological Response) so that is great news. If undet. at week 8 you are an (EVR) and have a better chance of SVR. Ask your Lab. what the lower limit of detection is. Labs vary, mine is 15 copies/ml. In the US labs. can go as low as 5 copies/ml. So, good news!

thanks Alan for your reply!! at least i have some pespective about it..i was a litle disapointed thinking that i would be UND with this new med.well i wait until week 12! i have heard that in some countrys a VL lower than 100 its considered UND!! so i guess 31 virus copys its pretty low...i wonder..

got my call today from my doc to the 4 weeks results with triple therapy..she said there are 31 copys of the virus found!! so not UND !! i asked her how long should i do tx,she said she dont know because 31 copys are very low number but its still not UND,she told me we will wait for week 12 for more conclusions and ask other hep c treatment centers whats the protocol for such a low virus number...Dahm i realy was expecting to be UND around this time! anyone similar experience? i dont want to do the 48 weeks hell!

This is very similar to what happened to me. You will be OK, my friend. If you really have a few strands at week four, the worst case will be twelve extra weeks of peg/RIBA after Incivo is done, for a total of 36 weeks. Still, you have an excellent chance for SVR, it will just take a little longer. By week 12 you will be UND for sure, then no more Incivo. Just some extra time on peg/riba. Alan
