Hehe Well you almost woke up to a "psychedelic" forum a while back, when I thought it was maybe time for the forum to have a makeover of sorts. I don't think Heather and Jill would have been impressed or you good folk on tx - you may have thought it was some "extra" sides kicking in or your meds had been substituted for a Timothy Leary type substance!

So far we have grand puba, grand potentate , and emperor. My grandson suggested lord boofoo. Not real sure what that means or where it comes from. Kids these days. Sheesh. I apologize in advance if it is a nasty word. So anyway, if you have a sleepless night you have sufficient input to go creative. But the current settings work just fine.

I remember waking up as a "Guru" and wondering why I didn't feel elevated lol
It's the default settings and the titles can be changed and also more titles can be added as the number of posts increase, but not a good idea to let me loose on that!

You would be just fine JoAnne, but you would have missed a couple of good chuckles. But we better stop this thread now. We are way off topic. Unless Jill could move the whole shebang over to the General Discussion area. Alan

Where would I be without Jill and Alan help

I don't know Alan. Looking at Jill's title and post count tells me the easier achievements are over. Looks like you'll need a lot more experience points (posts) before you'll be able to level up your avatar.
Have a great Friday, Dave

Ah yes, the coveted "post count" ranking. I've been a forum-rat on mostly computer enthusiast forums since the late '90s, and there seemed to be an amusing(or annoying) behaviour amongt some to do what is called "post padding", to boost their post count and thus increase their "rank" on the forum. Some folks attained rank though lot's of quality, thoughtfully written posts that were valuable& informative. Others padded their post count with short, meaningless replies like "LOL" or simply leaving some kind of smilie.

Alan, and everyone, it`s based on the number of posts, once you hit 500 you automatically reach "Guru" status, not that you don`t deserve the upgrade anyway of course, Your Highness!
Thanks for the quality as well as the quantity of your comments! ~ Jill xx

You're probably right. Chatty is putting it mildly. Grand Potentate might not be a bad step, then Emperor.

I'm guessing it goes by the number of times you post. I notice you go from Newbie to member to veteran member, senior member to Guru.
I figure a chatty type like you will probably have his "Emperor" ranking soon.

I recently noticed that my status on the forum had been elevated to Guru. While I am flattered and pleased, I wonder if I actually qualify. How is this designation made?
