Eleven weeks to go is great. Piece of Cake (LOL), just kidding. If my past experience is of any consolation, I was so out of it during the final stretches that I hardly remember them at all. I never had the support that youre giving Renee the first two times I went done this road alone. You both deserve medals for bravery and perseverance.
What are you planning for a post treatment celebration? Vacation trip?Ill be done in May 2013 and Carol and I are saving for a return trip to Hawaii in the Spring of 2014.

Her blood levels are out of whack. She needs to temporarily stop the Neupogen, and for this week, she either needs to take half her interferon or not take it at all. Hopefully she'll get a break soon from feeling lousy. Only 11 more weeks though!

I think about her every day. Let's just hope she has enough good days to make some quality of life. And I also hope she can hold on to her sense of humor, her strength and her determination to succeed. Seems like a bunch of us are taking a beating lately. Renee's and my class, including kiwi, Lanaisurfer, Mark, Phil G, Shep, and a bunch more have all had troubles recently, both during and post treatment. Some of us just got such long protocols, and it gets real tough toward the end. I am hoping she will hit some good days and perc up a little. Tell her I said hello and stay the course. Eventually all this time will be done. And at least she has you there to help out. That helps so much. Alan

It's been really hard seeing how the side effect sxs are getting for Renee. Because of the Neupogen that she takes mid-week, she's lucky to have one or two good days a week, whereas before Neupogen, she could have 4 or 5. Even the interferon shots are hurting her and she's becoming symptomatic again from the interferon. For awhile, the sxs were minimal from the interferon but now, she's noticing the effects. Not sure if it is related to taking Neupogen or not. Thankfully she only has 11 weeks left to go. I'm doing what I can to care for myself in the process...I know I can't be there for Renee without taking care of myself too.
