Hi Neil, A drop to 40 would be a 5 log drop. For Victrelis, you need to be undet. at week 12 to continue Rx. If you look at my post 'How others are doing', my doc is treating 6 cirrhotics with Vict. Only 2 of us were undet. at 8 weeks, but all were undet. at 12 weeks. Did you have a 4 week VL done, after the leadin? This is where you want to see the 2 log drop, as it indicates Interferon Sensitivity.

Just got an email from public health nurse who is my treatment coordinator.
Your week 8 viral load showed only 33 copies of the virus were left. When you started therapy you had 4 million copies of the virus. So, that is good news. I hope you are feeling well. If there is any side effects or concerns, please let me know.
Damn, what a relief. Just brought the biggest smile to my face that I've had in months. I go for week 12 tests this Friday so hoping for UND.
Is my math memory correct and that would be > log 4 change? It's 40 years since I left High School.....lol.
