Totally overwhelmed by all of your comments. It is really great to see the forum doing so well and helping so many people, esp thru tx. I will still nip in from time to time to see how people are doing (always was anyway despite not posting much ).
There's not a tremendous amount of support out there for people who have been diagnosed, hopefully one day that will change although i think what forums like this offer, is irreplaceable.
We've been really lucky to have such wonderful members here over the years and you have made the forum what it is today. I will miss everyone. It's been an absolute honour.
Wishing the best to all and thank you so much.

Thanks for all you've done and created. You've done an amazing job helping a lot of people through this forum. It's wonderful that the community has grown to the point where others have stepped up as leaders, both formally and informally. I think my favorite part of this forum is as the newbies slowly become the knowledgable ones and then pay the guidance forward to the ones who follow. Good luck in the latest adventures of your life's journey and once again...thank-you.

You made each and every one of us at ease and comfortable when we first arrived; we knew we were amongst friends and need not fear- for that I for one am most appreciative.
I am sad to hear of your leaving, but look forward to seeing you when you "nip in from time to time".
Best wishes &

Heather and I met on a forum, whilst we were both on tx and we just “clicked”. Over the years we've both shared our ups and downs and laughed a lot too
I know we'll all miss her on the forum, but it's great to see someone you care about find a happy new life with lots of good times ahead. I want to say thanks for being there for everyone with your kindness and wise words...... and a great sense of humour!
Lots of love Steff xxxx

Thank you so much for your kind words and for being understanding. It's not at all an easy thing to do, but necessary. I will definitely nip in from time to time, you don't get rid of me that easily.
I have been living with pvf for most of my adult life Iris, for which i see a specialist. I also battle with depression at times and have chronic back pain. These things are mostly manageable for me and life is better than it has been in years. Hep C took many years from me however i am grateful for my svr result, despite it taking me years to recover. It's been hard to tell over the years how much of my health issues have been down to hep c/tx/or that i'd have had them even if i'd never had hep c. How can you ever really know these things...The main thing has to be to try and make the most of things at any given time and i'm certainly happier than i have been in many years and my health has improved with svr.
You are all too kind and sincere thanks.
Hugs

You are one of the sweetest voices here, I'm really going to miss you. You have been the backbone when folks here were loosing theirs. Words of strength and wisdom flow from your fingertips, ...an unwavering virtue, and we will be sad to see you go.
Babies take precedence as well as health (is there help for your ails? or had it been C related?) Gosh Heather, wish I could squeeze through here and give you a BIG hug!!!
Thank you for being there for me as well as all the folks here, Do stop in and say hi whenever you can, YES?

I`m very sorry to see you stepping down, Heather, but also completely understand your reasons for doing so. I`m well aware how difficult it`s been for you to arrive at this decision but on the other hand I see it as a very positive thing that you`re moving on with your life now.
As a founding member of this forum you have given help and support to so many people over the years, myself included. I`ll always be grateful for your kindness when I was going through tx and it`s been a real pleasure getting to know you better since you and Steff invited me to join you as a moderator a year or so ago.
You certainly have a lot to look forward to and no doubt you`ll be kept very busy when your twin grandchildren arrive! I wish you all the happiness in the world, you deserve it!!
Take care, love and hugs, from Jill xxx

Hi all. I wanted to post a message to let you know that i have decided to step down from the forum. Over the past couple of years there have been many changes in my life such as a new relationship, moving home, and now twin grandchildren due in the Spring.
These things (and some ongoing health issues) meant that i have had less and less time to spend on the forum and i never felt comfortable with that. Since i am unable to be here in the capacity that i would like to be, it seems the right time for me to part.
It is an experience i'm grateful to have had the privilege of being involved in for the past 5 years. I am also exceptionally proud of what we have achieved here and know that the forum is in good hands with Steff, Jill, and Alan. Hep C will always be a part of who i am, as will my personal journey with it. I have met some amazing friends over the years due to it and it has taught me a lot about myself.
I wish the very best to everyone and hope that there are new (and less intrusive) treatments available soon. Keep fighting the fight and never give up on yourself!! Best to all.
It has been best thing ever for me and countless others.
I appreciate everyone who got it started.
Thank you, JoAnne
