Vernon,
One of my favorite things in the AA "Big Book" is the line "And we have ceased fighting anyone or anything..." (bottom of page 84).
There is no fight when we "Let go and let God" There is amazing peace and serenity when we learn how to do this.
I just have one single thing to worry about and do...The next right thing. Simple
Thanks for the post Vern.

Well said Vern. I had to visit my opthalmologist again yesterday, and discovered a new 'objet d'art' in the street. Reminded me of Xeno, so had to get a photo and that's my new avatar!

I read that they recently discovered that being happy and smiling is a two way relationship. That is the physical act of smiling actually makes you happier. So there is some truth to that saying that you can choose to be happy or choose to be unhappy (excepting clinically depressed people). I've always been a glass half full type of person. May you all be having a wonderful day today. All the best, dave

So very true. Being well has alot to do with one's state-of-mind.

Are we the Liver in Room 111, Gastric Bypass in 112 or Gallbladder in 114. With all the physical distress the Rx puts us thorough; we are more than our HepC. I too yearn to learn more about C. Yet Im more and more convinced that where I need to be is seeking my spiritual side. When I worked at the big Haze, we talked about in terms of ourselves, others and a higher power. My take on this; is that it is about others and me. The more I let others help and support me, give me feedback, extend a hand, shoulder, hugs the closer I am to a higher power. That said how I treat others might be a good indication of just how in sync I am with my spiritual side. Im not convinced health is the absence of disease, that being physically CURED will matter as much as people do. Not to be morose but what good is spending all this time on Rx, just to find the world something to struggle with. Its sort of like wrestling Alligators the more you do it, the more everything looks like an Alligator.
