Jim great ideas on top 10! Thanks for sharing!!! Joe, Alan doc suggested 36; doc told him he could stop at 36 weeks. Later as Alan realize others on forum were Doing 48 weeks, he asked his doc about it! Doc replied, "You didn't ask to do 48"!! Anyway, it baffled us all. But so far all is well. He gets rechecked In 2 weeks! I was UND 2 weeks, DET 4 wk And UND 8,16,24 so my doc recommended 48 weeks. Hope u r doing good as can be on tx. I just told Alan story as u can see I am active Member on week 33 that has received much Advice and support from forum! Hang in there

10. Finding out I was not alone in fighting this disease.
9. Meeting some great, tough, determined people.
8. Sharing the nervousness of making the decision to start tx with people who were in the same boat as me.
7. Sharing the sx and the tx for the sx with other people. ( DRINK WATER!!!!!!....lol )
6. Comparing notes and keeping our Dr.'s on their toes. ( The dreaded online forum questions...lol )
5. Finally realizing that I may not have to live with this disease the rest of my life. ( I thought it would eventually kill me )
4. Seeing people who went through it all and came out the other side, clear.
3. Seeing people who tried but failed, but still were determined to try again.
2. Meeting people who have been fighting this disease for years and still had a positive attitude.
1. Meeting some of the most giving and caring Dr's, nurses, and NP's in the world.
0. Getting a chance to start my life over again. This time hep c free.

I would say my top reason to love Incivek/Victrelis/Peg/Rib is:
Using it is making a choice for health, the future and perhaps making a contribution to others. It is a Leap of Faith choice, against the odds, complications and outcomes.
By not doing it alone and traveling with folks like all of us on the board, doesn't shorten the journey but at least we do it with company, support and new friends.
