Take it a step at a time I found out I had Hep. C over 25 yrs. ago. I was told the longer I waited the better the treatment. Big new one pill cures are on the horizon.

Hi Bob, and welcome. First of all, please don`t panic! Testing positive for HCV antibodies means you`ve been exposed to the virus at some point but it doesn`t necessarily mean you have an active infection now. Wait until you get your viral load test result back and then take it from there. If it turns out the virus is present in your blood stream then you can start talking about treatment options. I know it must be scary for you right now but take it step at a time... we`ve all been there ourselves, you`re in good company here.
Best of luck, let us know how it goes! ~ Jill

Just found out I had hep c antibodies and yesterday had blood test for viral loading, still waiting for results. I was tested due to a persistent pain in my upper right quadrant. so far, it is scaring the hell out of me; my brother died about 10 years ago from liver disease. What should I expect next.
