The new drugs are fantastic as far as results go. Take good care of yourself and hopefully you will get to treat soon. The best news is when you get that undetected. It means your liver is getting a break from the HCV. Sounds like you deserve a break! Great to see you. Karen:)

Greetings from a Fellow Hepper, I'm just 10 weeks from finishing my third and hopefully last love/hate relationship with HepC drugs. Hopefully your liver Doc can determine if trying Incivek or Victrelis is needed at this time. With your past bad history of not tolerating the sides, maybe you can get into a study or wait for the new cash-cow drugs to be rolled out. Either way, wish you success.

Hi there King and a warm welcome back! Sounds like you had a rough time of it in 2008, and it takes a lot of guts to go for another round of treatment. You`ve already seen what a great bunch of people are around nowadays, and it`s still the same friendly and supportive place you knew before. We`ll be here for you, you can rely on it!
Let us know how your appointment goes. Best of luck, and keep us posted! ~ Jill

Hi King, ya...doncha hate that ucky feeling.?? Glad to see you. We'll be there for you. Let us know what the dr. says, Yes?
I had a real elevated test about 5 years or so ago...in the 700's the worst it had been since I was first diagnosed back in 1978. The dr. just shrugged her shoulders and said you might have got into something toxic. .....great. Well the LFT's are back to their usual mid 60's or so and have been ever since. All the rest of my blood work is good.
Keep the faith dear, I know waiting is very hard. venting is good...

Hi King,
Welcome back. Good luck for the next round- you'll probably be on triple Rx with either Incivek or Victrelis, together with your old friends Peg and Riba. The Forum has had great results lately with several members achieving SVR.
At 200, your ALT and AST are about 5 times normal. That's OK for chronic HCV. Keep us posted, Cheers.

Ugh! Well, my name is King and Ive been through the whole routine and now im back for round 2. I see some familiar names are still here (hello) and Hello to the new ones too. Well in 2008 I was on the treatment for about 38 weeks. Sicker than a dog I had to stop. I guess I tried to fool myself into believing that I beat it but I didnt. Have had only slightly elevated liver enzymes since I stopped treatment but just got back from my Rheumatoligist that I have been seeing because what I thought was RA but now my liver enzymes are elevated to 200. I tried looking up how bad that is but couldnt find any real answers online. So just made apointment with liver Doc but thats not until March 8th. Looks like I'm going to be going through the whole tx again. This time I better be strong enough to take it. Ive just been hit with all this so I know I need to find out exactly what kind of hep c or stage im at. I'll call the doc next week and get that info.
Anyway once again hello everyone and Ill be talkin to ya. Ill be here for quite awhile. I'm going to for sure need the support that is found here. When I was here last you all helped me so much, Thank You, King
