If he is smart, he will take a xanax before I walk through the door. This whole treatment experience with this doctor and nurse is another story that I may post when I have the energy.

Jill, this is the same trial that you posted earlier this week. I really wasn't sure what to look for, but after reading your link that is when I started looking. I am in Houston and there is not one like that here, but there is one in San Antonio which is about a 3 hour drive from here. I am going to talk to my doctor next week about it if I don't hear back from anyone else, but he may want me to be off of these meds for a while before starting something else. The trial does not say anything about a time frame of being off previous treatment, but I have read where some of them do require that. We shall see.
Z, you hang in there! I bet you are going to be just fine!!

I`m glad you looked into it, Caryn, and found one within travelling distance from where you live. That`s quite a journey even so, full marks for determination!
Yes, I was wondering about the time frame too, whether you`ll need to be off the triple meds for a certain length of time first. You must have lots of questions to aks when you see your doctor next week, I expect you`ve already got a list!

Great job finding a trial so quick. I think you're on the right track by contacting both the trial and your nurse but you may keep contacting them in mutiples. You know, don't let them underestimate how badly you want this. Also you may make an appt to see your Dr directly, go over the nurses head so to speak, maybe he/she can help get you in.

I found a trial in a city close to me. I have emailed the contact to the trial and my nurse. No response from anyone yet. Any other suggestions? I would like to get some answers and I hope I am taking the right steps, but if anyone can let me know if there is more I can do I would appreciate it. Here is the trial:
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and antiviral efficacy of sofosbuvir/GS-5885 (FDC) with or without RBV administered for 8 or 12 weeks of treatment in subjects with chronic genotype 1 HCV infection who are treatment-naïve and for 12 weeks in subjects who had previously received a regimen containing a protease inhibitor for the treatment of HCV.
Thanks!!! I just can't give up - on a mission now!!!!
