Lou, I doubt anyone on this board can really advise you about stopping at 20 rather then 24 weeks. I assume the testing showed optimal outcomes for a 24 week duration. I think most baselines are more solid then over-all preformance averages. All I can offer is my own story and support for you to stay on course. This is my third voyage and come hell or high water I'm going the full 48 weeks. I'm down to 51 days left. But whether it be 51 or 101, what I'm aiming at is the SVR next November. Glad your sharing the struggle with us, that is how it works.

Hi, I would really appreciate some advice please. I am on week 20 of a 24 week triple therapy and want to stop. I cleared the virus at 4 weeks. I am so sick of feeling depressed, cold, weak and bad tempered ect! Surely stopping at this point wont make any difference?

JoAnneh makes a great point for all of us to remember, if we cut short our treatment on our own volition we may live to regret a decision that can effect the rest of our life.
Lou focus your vision and thoughts on your end date.
JoAnneh is a great example of determination and keeping focused on her EOT date, keep in contact with her and the rest of your brothers and sisters in the forum.

Glad you are speaking out! You have come too far To stop now. If u stop early and the virus comes back You will always wonder if the four weeks would have changed things. I understand how exhausting and depressing tx can get. You are a fighter and its almost over!!!! Yay! I tell myself quitting IS NOT an option. We can't live without our liver. I have 17 more days and I will have reached 48 weeks. At times it seems I am going to crack but then I start to feel Better..... I know it's difficult but u can make it! Take it one day at a time! Just get thru it!
