thanks, In 96 i found out i had hep c. back then all they had was interferon 3 time per week and that was brutal. I took me a long time to find the courage to go on tx again. In 04 my vl was 2.6 mil and still det at 8weeks so dr. took me of meds because i was'nt responding to treatment. My last bx in 09 i was at [stage 0/ grade 2] thanks god, but vl was in the climbing up and up. I'm 50 and i've lived with this along time. somewhere between 17 and 22 is when hep c came into mylife and my hope is someday i will totally beat this disease because i will never give up hope.

Hi again, Ed, so it was a dose of incivek you missed, not your peg. I see you`ve edited your post to correct it since my original reply, it makes more sense now! As JoAnne pointed out, it`s quite usual to get a bit of `brain fog` while on tx. Stay in touch, you`ll find plenty of support and advice here.
Cheers, Jill

This is my third time on treatment 1. in 1997 with no success, second in 2004 with no success, and now with triple therapy starting 3/1/13 .
Good luck Ed, your treatments have been about the same time span as mine. Hoping this 3rd time works for us cause i getting to old for any more after this. Good luck.

Did you miss one dosage of Invicek yesterday?
Are you around 6 weeks?
You can call Invicek hot line and speak to their nurse,
they are highly informed!
The medicine made me very absent minded or as we say on forum
it causes brain fog. I kept my meds on my night stand.
I set my alarm to go on scheduled doasge times daily. My husband had to help
me study focus, the exhaustion was so overwhelming.

Hi Ed, welcome to the forum! You should be ok missing 1 dose of ribavirin, and according to the pegasys information leaflet you can still do your peg shot up to 2 days late, and then return to your normal schedule next week.
You must have a lot of determination going through treatment again, and I wish you the best of luck this time round with incivek. I hope you get your undetectable result at 8 weeks. ~ Jill

Hi all. New to forum but not new to being on treatment. This is my third time on treatment 1. in 1997 with no success, second in 2004 with no success, and now with triple therapy starting 3/1/13 . i have to admit this is brutal on the body but im not a quiter. thanks to forum i've learned to manage my side affects. I've never posted before but today i cought my first bo' bo' with my treatment. I dont know how but missed my morning dosed of riv and incivek together yesterday morning. i hope this does'nt set me back with the virus regenarating.
geno 1a started 3/1/13 at 7.9 mil, test at 4 week, at 3.3 mil. when i saw the doctor he tolded me this means when you finish incivek your're going to be on treatmen for 9 months instead of six months. hope at my 8 weeks blood test that i'm undetectable. Dr also said uric acid is on the high sidewhat does it mean?? and my platelets are going down also?
