You have found a good place to get real world information on both current treatments and future trial / treatments.
Best advise is to know your bodies and liver status / condition so you can make a correct decision on timing your treatment.
There are a lot of new Meds. coming down the road in the next 2 years.
Hoping the best for you.

I found this site tonight and have been reading for hours. Wanted to say Hello. I am holding out on treatment, hoping for some of the new treatments to pan out. I have Hep C 1. I have had to get life in order, while I stay current on treatment options. Thank you all for sharing. Just the reading gives me courage to move forward, as I have been stuck since getting diagnosis. I guess I go into denial, and act as if I do not have this affliction. So thank you for the forum.

Hi Lisa, welcome! Thanks for introducing yourself to us, I`m glad you`re finding inspiration here.
I`m sure a lot of us can relate to what you`re saying, getting the diagnosis of Hep C usually comes as quite a shock and can take a while to come to terms with. It is very treatable though and it`s really well worth looking into your options.
Many of our members with genotype 1 have successfully cleared the virus with the current triple therapy treatments (with victrelis or incivek) and there are new medicines in the pipeline if you can wait. A lot depends on the condition of your liver. Have you had a biopsy since your diagnosis?
