Hi lauralou, welcome to the forum. You've found a great place for answers and support. I did dual tx riba and interferon, in 03'. I discontinued because of the sx. I got tons of migraines back then. I'm back on the tx as of 4/16/03 and I haven't had too many migraines as of yet (knock on wood) starting week 13 tomorrow. Not sure what is different now Kel

Since 1999 I have had 5 biopsies.
All of the biopsies all showed F0-F1 (my doc said .5) for fibrosis and imflammation.
My doc says all of the biopsies were the same and I am doing fine.
One biopsy showed too much Vitamin A in my liver. I was not taking a vitamin A supplement so the doc said I ahd to cut back on fruits and vegetables (can you believe it?!!).

Welcome :). I got hcv from a transfusion too as a baby in 1981. Failed treatment in early 2000s as well. I am about to do the triple tx in a few weeks. Migraines are no fun! I have some form of headache every day and full blown migraines at least once a week. I sure hope the meds don't increase them as they did in your previous situation. Great news that you are still in such good health even after having the virus so long.

I am a 57 years old female and was diagnosed with HCV in 1999.
I contracted the virus from a blood tranfusion in 1977 in a bad car accident.
My health is excellent. Genotype 1A, minimal liver fibrosis and inflammation, ALT and other liver enzymes almost always normal, viral count usually 1-2 million.
I am slender and walk 40 minutes a day.
I failed interferon and ribaviran in 1999 and I am a null responder.
My only complaint is that I sleep 10 hours a night (yes, every night) if I can.
The interferon gave me a migraine every day so my dr recommends waiting for sofobuvir/GS-5885 with ribaviran.
