By now you are almost three weeks in, and should be feeling it. Hope you are OK, and staying active and eating well. By now you have all the 8-hour alarms set for your Incivek, and have not missed any doses
. If you want to click the link in my signature it will take you to a spreadsheet showing how my levels ran during treatment. Yours will probably do about the same. Good luck and keep your chin up.

Welcome Brian. I completed my triple therapy two weeks ago today. I had more anger issues during the Invcivek phase and more depression at the last couple months of Riba and Peg...but a bit of both during both. My Hepa Doc used to ask me about mine every time I visited. They are helpful to prescribe something if you need it. I don't know if they should if you don't but maybe he has had patients that needed it before.
I actually had to have a lower dose of Riba than a lot of people due to other problems. I think that helped with mine.
Good luck on your treatment!

Welcome Brian! I'm 17 weeks into the 24 week treatment. I'm not so lucky as I had just about every sx. Everyday a new one lately. Yesterday I woke up with vertigo - but today I'm feeling 100%. Go figure Good for you to be healthy and strong. It's almost like preparing for a marathon.
At week 13 I went into a pretty severe depression. So much so my dr. almost discontinued me. I was able to get to a psy. fast and get the situation corrected before the doc got wind of it. Some folks do have more severe depression, so if you have a predisposition, all the more power to you. Maybe you'll have a better go of it, then I did. 7 weeks to go. If you need any support or info please feel free to ask. We're here for ya! Best, Kel

Good luck Brian, i agree with Sandra your younger than most of us old farts and it should be easier on you. I was on the Vict. so i don't know about your meds. But we are all here to give support. I completed about 6 weeks ago. And if i can do 48 weeks, i think you can too. Cause i am a whiny, bitchin type of guy..j/k...~Bob

I want to wish all of you the best of luck. I am now six month post tx and I am doing great. It is a long ruff road but hang in there. As I said many times on this board there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Tx effects everyone different. So hang in there you have a lot of good people on this board to support you.

bmhartwd,
you have 2 things in your favor here, you're younger and have an excellent mind set. the higher your hemoglobin and platlettes the easier it'll be to cope w/sx. it sounds like you have agreat support system and do take days off work to sleep. finally since it's my 2nd time on treatment, i had enough hindsight to stock up on otcs for sx. wishing you well.

Im on the same treatment that you will be starting, and I am on week 10. Only 2 weeks left of eating 20 grams of fat 3 times a day...YYYEEEAAAHHHH!!!
The best advice I can give you is stay active, but listen to your body. I take a Zytec every morning with my AM pills to help with the side effect of the rash, and so far so good. I have had on/off periods of rash, but it has been really managable. I use coconut oil as a lotion and it has been a dream come true.
Treatment is very managable with a positive attitude and remembering why you embarked into this adventure in the first place.

I just got home from my hepa doctor and I my medicines will be here in two weeks!!! I am as ready as I will ever be to start treatment. I will be on interferon, riba and Incevik for the first 12 weeks. For the first time in my life my Doctor prescribed me an anti-depressant ( Zoloft) and I took it today. If anyone out there wants to help out with a few kind words every once in a while, I'm here to help us get thru it!!!
