Was just reading all the crappy rubbish about IVF (10% statistic for me if I cure) and you cheered me right up. I am lying in bed next to my snorning hog (3.22 am) and i snorted with laughter at the comment regarding your mum and avaitar (shocked the fog horn awake). Not only did you cheer me up, but also I have peace and quiet to sleep now! What a result!
Welcome to the forum! :D
Thanks Lisa, glad it made you smile. You just made my day.

I think the last biopsy I had was in 2004. Doc said I had "light pre scaring". When I went this time different Doc said I would first need an ultrasound my records and then a biopsy and maybe he could "undo what I did to myself". After he got the results of the ultrasound and my records and past ultrasound an biopsy he didn't ask for another. He said that I did everything in my power to improve my condition and it would be a pleasure to treat me. Think I read f1-2 some where.
I've rode and lived that life style for 45 years my bro's had the same sense humor. There were only three of us left as of 5 years ago. One passed away and the other got septic shock on the way to Sturg. He was in a comma for a month and has 100% short term memory loss. That was an end on a era for me. My sense of humor is there spirit ( a little forever) Its easy as I look around and see the little things that upset most people.
It was then that I put the bike in storage closed the old place and move in with Mom, she was getting "funny". I took care of my Dad, he died of dementia so I know the signs.
The condo is comprised of 90% widows. Now before you say "alright Scruffy" there all over 75. I got a call 3 in the morning old girl said she tripped and broke her toilet. I go down to her place and the toilet was shattered with shards all over. I had to ask if she was sleep walking with a hammer in her hand lol. She was in bare feet, I through her out and took care of it. I get the my tv is borked calls at least twice a week (easy fix). The the guy next store played plumber. Cut his pipes with out shutting the water. I had to shut the building off and bale him out. He's 89 i figure if I passed out it was still better than leaving him with the mess. People there feel safe with me there and that look in there eyes is priceless. Two of the girls brought my meds to me in the Hos. They brought me an empty box of incivek and had to go back hahaha. While they were saying prayers and lighting candles for me I was calling the nurses station. "yes can I help you" can I get a sponge bath? "no!" Its not my whole body just one part it won't take long " laughter from the nurses station". If they were on the ball they would have sent a male nurse.
My next VL will be in 3 weeks. (12 week mark) I don't trust the virus after all it is MY virus. It most likely has a secret lab hidden in my liver working on a mutation along with movies showing virus porn to stimulate replication
Much peace and love good luck to every one.

Hey Scruffy, I'd like to welcome you to the club too! I've got an 86 year old Dad that I'm helping and must agree that some days are lets say more interesting than others! Right now with my brain fog I'm not sure which one of us forgets more. Thank God he doesn't forget where he's at because I'd probably have trouble finding him. I keep the GPS on my phone turned on just in case! You've got a great attitude and will do well. Best of luck, it's nice to meet you!

Hi and welcome, Scruffy.
For a 61 yo, you have a great sense of humour and obviously a great attitude. If your Hb was down to 7.2 by week 9, the Riba is certainly working, and it's great to get that 4 week Undetected. How's your liver? Have you had a biopsy or Fibroscan? Good luck with the rest of treatment. Cheers.

Nice post and welcome Scruffy. Bless you for taking care of your mom. Love the avatar. Hang in there and consider yourself really a lucky duck not having the Incivik badge of honor (rash). I took my last shot last night 24/24 and last riba on Sunday pm - so there will be an end to the party unfortunately I love your sense of humor and shame on you about your avatar - it made me laugh though. sorry mom.....

Nine weeks into triple tx incivek. I was on a trial about ten years ago, back when you had to mix the inter. I was about 190lbs and could bench 300lbs typical 1970's biker. You know the look that gave hep c its bad name hahaha. Only side effect I had was the first shot. I didn't respond well so tx was stopped.
Now I'm on the three drugs and things are quite different. I take care of my 82 year old Mom, shes lucid maybe 20% of the time. Shes very supportive. When I was short of breath one time she said " Is my name on your bank account so you can die" I burst out laughing. The world is hers. I cook, clean do laundry and the shopping. ( thats her in my avitar revenge is mine). I was undet. at week 4. whohoo. At week 7 I had to transfuse red blood went down to 7.2. Come to think of it I was feeling a little peaked.... well maybe a lot peaked. I had the riv rash, no incivek rash yet (knocks on wood.. gonna leave that one to you) My first pegasys shot gave me the munchies I cleaned out the ice box not so much after the first shot.
I had to have some one bring me my meds while I was in hos. getting transfused. I had to get real inventive for the 20g of fat there. No body had change for the snack machine which caused me to walk down the hall talking to my iv stand asking it how ppl go to work with no money. The doctors turned out really liking me there. They said transfusions were the way to go. Guess there short on entertainment.
I do have the "back door" problem. I find huggies untill you get a clean bill of health is a must. Then desitin but I'm getting a little worried that I'm enjoying applying it. on the real side it helps. Despite all I've been through in my life TX still STINKS!!!! But eyes on the prize. Just want ed to say hello and I hope this post makes some one smile.
Thanks for the giggles :)
